What a great place. Wandered in for lunch one day and the staff immediately welcomed and assisted me. They asked a ton of questions as I ordered to make sure I got the exact sandwich I wanted. And the sandwich itself, well it was just amazingly delicious (and affordable) and the staff were so friendly and helpful.

Since moving to the Lehigh Valley, I’ve been told time and time again that I HAD to try this place. My friends’ nagging finally got to me and I swung by for lunch. I had checked to website beforehand and expected a pretty basic offering, but boy howdy do they have a big selection of fantastic sandwiches (for a surprisingly good price). I got the earthquake, which was super yummy, but I’ll probably get something with some more veggies next time.

What’s not to love about the Goose? This place is more than just a college deli – and yet it still lives and breathes Lehigh pride. Excellent prices for great sandwiches, and the “secret menu” is always expanding. But the real gem of this place is the service. Tony, Deb, and Kevin make every visit a pleasure. If you’re only ever going to eat near Lehigh University once, this is the place.

The Goose is a Lehigh staple and I can see why. Tony, the owner, is a rockstar and even remembers alumni from years past (including their order!). Be warned – these sandwiches are BIG. And amazing (you’ll never go to another sandwich shop again, let alone the Subway down the street). Highly recommend you look up the secret menus online before you come – there are a LOT of amazing options. Also, don’t forget to tell them toasted (where your bread/bun is toasted), melted (where the inside/cheese of your sandwich is melted), or both (I love both).
