LOVE The Hero Joint!! They have a wide variety of sandwiches, both hot and cold, and their sandwiches are huge. I could barely finish half, that’s how loaded it was. Great price for the amount of food you’re getting. They also sell beer, which is a nice touch! They are located in downtown Bay Shore so it’s a great stop before heading to the Fire Island Ferries over the summer. There is also a Patchogue location, located in their village!

Best experience ever, 4 buddies and I missed our ferry to fire island, so we decided to stroll through town. Multiple stops and turns, we felt lost with no destination. Until Frankie found this magnificent place. What a beautiful find, as soon as I walked in I noticed the Johnny chopped cheese and it brought me back to the early days of my life in Brooklyn.

Oh my goodness, The Hero Joint in Bay Shore is amazing! We have ordered sandwiches from them before and have never been disappointed. We just recently used them to cater our son’s HS Graduation party. They were so incredibly awesome! I can not say enough good things about them. They were patient and extremely helpful, especially when it came to all of the food allergies we have. They went above and beyond to make sure every one would be able to enjoy their food and have something to eat! They even custom made the macaroni salad for our food allergies! We ordered all 3 foot hero’s (as we didn’t want anything longer due to transportation and lifting issues), The Balsamic Bird, The Bro, The Meathead, and a custom made Chicken Cutlet with Cheddar and Bacon. Everything was absolutely made fresh and delicious. All of our guests raved about the food. The bread was not hard, tough, or chewy, even our elderly denture wearing guests had absolutely NO issues eating the entire sandwich! In fact they had several tastings of the variety of sandwiches! We can not thank The Hero Joint enough for their delicious food and their amazing service! We will definitely be using them for our future events!

I wish i could give it more stars! I work with special needs and from the moment we walked in the guys have been an absolute pleasure making sure the person I support never felt rushed and always welcome. They treat him with respect and like a man and he has made it part of his weekly routine! They take gluten free very seriously and everything is delicious! Especially their chowder! I cannot recommend either location enough. No cold cuts here everything is real meat and almost all made in house. Get over there!
