We love hanging out here especially outside when they have music. Their patio is pet friendly and service is always spectacular. The manager or maybe owner not sure is always walking around checking on people making sure everyone is happy and having a great time!! She’s always super friendly and helpful and really a nice touch to see that someone cares and enjoys their job!! Update – another great dining experience with friends on Tue Trivia night, I add more food photos as we go.

Had lunch at Wakefield Tavern with a good friend. We both enjoyed a nice Saturday Morning Hazy IPA from Neuse Brewing! I had a Cowboy Burger with grilled onions, cheddar cheese and jalapeños but no bacon or BBQ sauce. I like BBQ sauce on chicken but not on a burger. My friend had the Patty Melt on Rye bread! I really enjoy this tavern and go there every time I’m in the area!

This place was phenomenal! I CANNOT BELIEVE HOW Amazing the service was! I was waiting on by this young woman name, Jessie and oh my goodness her service from beginning to end was like no other! I sat down with my eight year old daughter, and nine month old nephew, and I cannot begin to brag enough on how intense if she was! She had so many good recommendations, which I use them all! She took so much time with my daughter I was floored! Our food came out, hot, fresh and super fast! I never had to ask for anything twice! I’m so confused at how I’ve never been here before this was our first time, but definitely will not be my last. I cannot wait to come back for date night with my better half.! Thank you again so much Jessie for such an amazing experience! Oh yeah, the coconut Mojito is to die for and the Philly cheesesteak eggrolls are better than I’ve ever had! The portions here are ginormous!

Holy S##T this food was good! Hands down my new favorite place. Our server was awesome, she knew her stuff and helped us make tasty choices. Draft beers were great and the burger I had was the best. They have this dip that goes with the sweet potato fries, I could have drank that stuff! I can’t wait to go back!!

As a regular here, I love the Tavern! We visit frequently for brunch, lunch, and dinner. They rotate drink menus every season, so I am always trying new drinks and love the variety! The waiters and waitresses are all great at what they do, and care about their customers. My favorite things to order are old bay wings, southwest salad, and the chicken tenders!

Staff is nice and friendly, typically the staff is attentive although they can get swamped. Chicken pot pie is awesome, salads are pretty good, wings used to be better, but everytime I try to get a burger I regret it. Never has one been even close to cooked correctly. It’s either completely raw or turned into a hockey puck.

The Wakefield Tavern is very inviting, with a great atmosphere. The bar serves great cocktails quickly and accurately. The menu has enough options to satisfy most everyone. The food was delicious and the portion sizes are generous but not over the top. My 2 issues are the men’s bathroom was small, just 1 urinal and one toilet. And our booth seat is in desperate need of being reupholstered. The spring in one half was sagging making sitting uncomfortable. I did look at a few other booths and I did NOT see any with issues like ours. Our server was very nice and attentive. We enjoyed our visit and recommend Wakefield Tavern to anyone who wants good food with a relaxed atmosphere at reasonable prices.
