Mine was great. It would have been absolutely wonderful if I would have gotten a thicker patty on my hamburger. The ratio would have been better.

Wait staff is nice and attentive too. The pecan pie is the best you’ll have outside the Deep South. Although they have some fly’s around the old school ambience, wait staff, and the incredible Oklahoma onion burgers are delish. I recommend “the Original”, Big D, Fire in the Hole, and, if you’re feeling daring, the Pregnant Lucy. Onion Rings and Fries are made and cut by hand. They do take cards.

Great bacon cheeseburger, perfectly battered onion rings and super service. Eat here when you have a chance. The breakfast menu looks good too.

Fast. Friendly. Fresh. Our visit to Hamburger Inn was a success. I have wanted to try the original Oklahoma Onion Burger for a while now, and I was not disappointed. The onions were cooked perfectly and the meat tasted so good. French fries and onion rings were hot and crispy. The tea was excellent. They have the good crushed ice perfect for munching. Very reasonably priced it cost $19.03 for two people to eat with drinks.

This was exactly what I wanted. A simple well priced breakfast cooked to order. Good sweet tea, good atmosphere with a view of downtown Ardmore. They have an old fashioned counter with diner stools. Now I want to come back and try the burgers ! I will be back!

The food is good, the chili is excellent and the burgers are on par with Sids in flavor, but a bit smaller in size. Regardless, it was a great experience! I’m deducting a star because of the burger size, and because I didn’t get to try any pie while I dined there.

I’m glad I had the tator tots. I’m not a fan of their type of fries. My dad didn’t really like them, either. He said he was getting tots next time. The small burger was plenty and they give you plenty of fries and tots. Be sure and get the fried onions on your burger. You’ll get a drink to go. My dad and I ate for $19.58. That was with a drink, a burger, and tots/fries.

Wonderful atmosphere, and amazing employees. I have driven by this little diner thousands of times in my life, but had never stopped. Now after moving 4000 miles away, I saw the “original” Oklahoma onion burger listed in a story about depression era foods. I was fascinated to see that it was invented in this same little diner, so when I traveled to see family and friends, I made it a point to stop in. I had the original double (4.99) and it was amazing. I enjoyed it enough that i went and bought 6 more to fly home with. Next time I visit, I can guarantee I will be there, sitting on a barstool and chatting with the server while I wait eagerly for that delicious original double.
