Simply excellent choice, from walking in with a sincerely pleasant staff, very clean environment. The food was beyond expectations, the brisket philly had a perfectly toasted fresh bun with tender soft but very flavorful brisket. Other philly toppings were in perfect balance to the brisket. The beans were outstanding as well with a light sweet flavor complimented with a balanced smoke flavor. Simply put this is an excellent BBQ place well worth the visit and I can’t wait to be back in the area to go back.

The food is really good. The ribs are official and the pulled pork is the best. I wasn’t to thrilled about the brisket. The fact that it’s shaved so thin it’s really not worth it. The side dishes could use some love. That Mac and cheese is awful, the baked beans taste like barbecue sauce but the collard greens are excellent.

The restaurant is VERY clean and neat. The staff is friendly, polite and well groomed. We received our food quickly and it was presented neatly as well. The St. Louis sandwich was HUGE and my lunch partner said it was delicious. The hush puppies were good & the ribs were fair-good. They would have been EXCELLENT IF they hadn’t been overcooked. Part of my ribs had been so overcooked that it was like jerky! See picture below. I chose to have my sauce on the side & they were seasoned well. I absolutely love collard greens and green beans both of which were so bland that even adding hot sauce didn’t help! They could have been excellent also IF they had been seasoned better. Because the staff is so nice and the eatery is so clean I will return another time to try the St. Louis barbecue sandwich & I will review that as well. Thank you staff for being polite, professional and for keeping the restaurant clean. I appreciate your efforts.

First I’m glad that where I was originally trying to go was closed because it took me to this place… oh my I’m so glad I went, the lady Marissa was so sweet and courteous, she went over the menu being it was my first time ,just all around A good fit for the business The other young lady was just as pleasant..I must say it’s small but lacks nothing I will definitely be going back to try something else but today was bbq sandwich and sweet potato wedges!! Very Good!

PREGNANT AND PICKY! I give them all the stars! I had a little bit of everything, hush puppies okra pulled pork collard greens Mac n cheese and some banana pudding! There were a variety of sauces to choose from spicy-sweet and I loved every one! The hospitality was amazing as well! I also read the story behind the restaurant! Amazing! Gave me a taste from back home I’ve been searching for!

Literally mid eating my meal and dessert and I had to review. I got the tenders with two sides and banana pudding, husband got the burger with brisket. 10/10 and we ordered right before closing. Although the scervice and the atmosphere were good, the food was extremely lackluster. I had read all of the glowing reviews for this place and was so excited to try a good barbeque place but it was completely subpar. My husband and I got both the chicken tender entree and the bbq chicken entree and the bbq sauce was very ketchup heavy basically being only ketchup and the hush puppies were gummy and cold. The mac and cheese and actual bits of chicken were okay bht not enough to make up for the hushpuppies and odfly flavored bbq sauce. The fries and onion rings were amazing tho but that was basically all we ate and really enjoyed. I wouldnt come back and dont reccomend it to others.
