Service was stellar but the food was borderline so-so. Asked for well done Taylor ham and it was burnt and disintegrating. My GF can’t eat bacon / pork and her home fries tasted like bacon and her omelette was not very good. My pancakes were ok but nothing to rave about.

Cute little breakfast spot my husband and I tried last week, the food was hot and fresh and there were many options to choose from. Small wait to be seated which wasn’t a problem, just there is no where to wait. You awkwardly stand by the entrance or hover almost on people as they eat. Not a deal breaker and we already discussed coming back, just wanted to share with others

An absolute great atmosphere to dine in! Me and my partner try to eat here at least once a month (we drive 30 minutes to come here) and every time it has been a wonderful experience. It’s affordable, the food is great quality, and the staff is more than welcoming. It’s great that diners such as this still exist and thrive in a time where you’re surrounded by chains and fast food restaurants.

I’ve been going to this place for years now. Didn’t realize I’ve never left a review for them. This is a fantastic little spot that is family owned and operated with great food and camaraderie with the owner as well as the wait staff. I have been a resident of Kenvil most of my life. Living down the street from the Gem is the best part of living here. I’ve been coming here for almost 20 years and I’ve never once left disappointed. The food is outstanding, the staff is very attentive and it’s a very clean luncheonette. If you’re ever looking for an exceptional breakfast or lunch… this is the place you need to check out!
