Had fish and chips…French fries were way over done,no potatoe was left….friend had kielbasa and red potatoes which was burnt black…next batch came out..dried out and no flavor….service was good, margaritas were good ,also. From the cooks to the expo( which should have never let those plates out of the kitchen) to the food runner and to the server. They all let burnt, dried out food be served. .really, sorry to say was very dissappointed.

We were in the area to hike nearby trails and decided to try Ken and Barb’s as it extremely nearby. They passed the “parking lot test” but we only had a 15 minute wait on a crowded Sunday evening in full snowbird season. The decor was tasteful and understated and features local art for sale.

Ken & Barb’s restaurant was clean, bright, and friendly. The bar had ample varieties of beer and a wide variety of food choices on the menu. The food was served hot and quickly. The staff was friendly and made menu suggestions that we benefited from. The restrooms were clean and given regular attention. We’ve only enjoyed lunch at Ken & Barb’s, but it was worth the drive from Port Charlotte.

My only complaint. They don’t serve a very good white wine. They were happy to exchange it for another kind. And it still was not the best. Ken and Barb’s need to upgrade their wine list . Other than the wine, everything was delicious and good.

Very nice place and atmosphere. Was looking forward to having a burger after hearing good things about the place. Ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger and a Ken and Barb burger. The bacon on the bacon burger was so chard it was questionable as to if it was still bacon. When trying to pick either burger up the bottom buns were so soggy they just fell apart. The onion strings were very greasy also. Just a little disappointed.
