Everything off the menu is fire, I just tend to gravitate to certain favorites like the classic style burger, the excellent hot dogs, the 151 Nachos AKA Sloppy Nachos, and now, the Street Corn on special. The chef is superb and consistent in delivery. Welcome to flavor town!

I asked the lady what she recommends, and she recommended the funky Candler crunch wrap (3 bean version). I wasn’t sure quite what to expect, but oh my it was good! Great textures and flavor combinations. We also got the cucumber salad and the potato salad, which was yummy and had some bbq flavor to it (my favorite). Such a fun little hangout spot with yummy food!

Amazing food cooked fresh while you wait, or you can call an order in for pick up. Southern themed with a twist. I had tenders with pork rinds as my side. Incredible house seasoned pork rinds! I could eat these all day. The tenders are buttermilk batter fried and incredibly tender. My husband had the nachos, which were overloaded with goodness. They keep a garden on site. The owner stepped away for fresh cilantro from the garden for the nachos. Can’t get any better than that! This is not “fast food,” it is prepared when you order or call in. Very worth the wait!

Wanted to try it as we have heard good things. I like how all the menu items are the same price and that most include a side. I enjoyed my burger…the toasted the bun!!! Enjoyed the use of red onions rather than white or yellow also. We will be back

I’m from Southwest Florida and come to Candler to visit family. Every time I come I have to eat at Sweet Southern Funk. I get the crunchwrap and cucumber salad. The texture and flavor combinations in the crunchwrap literally make me close my eyes to savor every flavor as much as I can. The atmosphere is so fun and the owners are incredibly friendly. By far my favorite place in the Candler/Asheville area.

Fresh food made to order! Stopped by on my way to work the other day and it was the best food I’ve had in awhile around here! Your food is made to order so it comes out hot and fresh and the service was prompt and efficient. Will definitely be back in the future!
