THE FIRST SIX
THE ALASKAN
FOR ONE TACO Our #1 seller since day one at the Farmers Market. Juicy pulled-pork, diced white onions, cotija cheese, cilantro, and a wedge of lime. Flour or corn tortilla. Gluten-free with corn tortilla.
THE TEXAN
FOR ONE TACO A Tex-Mex staple, this is carne guisada. Slow- stewed beef seasoned to perfection topped with cotija cheese. A San Antonio favorite for sure. Flour or corn tortilla. Gluten-free with corn tortilla.
THE ‘MERICAN
FOR ONE TACO Tender slow-cooked shredded beef topped with diced white onions, cotija cheese, cilantro, and a lime wedge. An alternative for those that don’t dig on swine. Flour or corn tortilla. Gluten-free with corn tortilla.
THE HIPPIE
FOR ONE TACO For all you veggie heads out there! Sautéed curly kale with garlic, our famous vegetable ceviche, and roasted poblano cream sauce. Vegan? Ask for no sauce. Flour or corn tortilla. Gluten-free with corn tortilla.
THE KIDDO
FOR ONE TACO A Tex-Mex traditional bean and cheese taco! The beans are vegetarian. Flour or corn tortilla. Gluten-free with corn tortilla. Does your picky kiddo need a quesadilla? We can do that, too. Just ask us. Cheese. Beans. Whatever.
THE PO BOY
FOR ONE TACO Tender, mesquite-smoked brisket with our very own house dry rub. Topped with diced onions, diced dill pickle, and our smokey hickory BBQ cream sauce. This is, by far, Lane’s all-time favorite. Flour tortilla recommended.
THE SEVENTH TACO
The Kickin’ Chicken
A little Korean, a little al pastor, a little bit country, and a little bit rock-n-roll. Korean/al pastor/pineapple seasoned chicken topped with pickled red onions, carrots, and jalapeños – just a little kick.
The K-Pop Sensation
Our take on Korean pulled pork with gochujang, ginger, garlic, and many more stars! This one’s topped with a simple American cole slaw and pickled red onions.
The Sunday Mornin’
This is BARBACOA. Tender, juicy beef cheeks, south Texas-style. It’s a Sunday mornin’ tradition in San Antonio. Topped with onions, cilantro, cotija cheese, and a lime wedge.
You Don’t Know Jack!
Young, green, organic jack fruit from India. It’s like a vegetarian/vegan pulled-pork. We smoke it, and then we toss it into a stew of chipotle vegetable stock for a while. We shred it and top it with onions, cilantro, cotija cheese, and lime.
El Pollo Loco
Chicken and rice! This is our chicken verde taco with some good ol’ Tex-Mex rice to go with it. We top it with some fresh pico de gallo and maybe a bit of cheese.
The Willie Nillie
Our smoked-in-house delicious 1/4 pound sausage links topped Po’ Boy style with diced white onions, diced dill pickles, and our smokey BBQ cream sauce.
The Dealio
This is a Tex-Mex favorite. It’s called picadillo. It’s like a Tex-Mex version of meat and taters. Savory seasoned ground beef, potatoes, and tomatoes make this taco delicious. Topped with shredded lettuce and pico de gallo.
The Moo Moo
Tender Tex-Mex dry-rubbbed skirt steak fajitas! Wow. These are good. A San Antonio favorite, for sure. We top this with our caramelized onions and fresh pico de gallo. Add some cheese if you please.
The Clucker
Here’s one of Lane’s faves. Grilled chicken breast fajitas! Seasoned with our Tex-Mex rub and lots of love. Top it off with our caramelized onions and fresh pico de gallo. Lane-style? Chicken, cheese, and onions, please.
The ‘Hood
These are our skirt steak fajitas topped old school street-style. Onions, cotija cheese, cilantro, and a wedge of lime finishes them off.
The Red-Headed Stranger
Pork shoulder slow cooked in an achiote lime marinade. This one’s topped with pickled red onions and fresh pico de gallo. This is our version of tacos al pastor.
Jamaican Me Crazy
We acquired some true jerk seasoning directly from Kingston, Jamaica. Jerk-seasoned chicken thighs slow cooked and shredded. Topped with our famous cabbage slaw and a fresh pineapple salsa.
The Freaky Deaky Tzatziki
A Tex-Mex/Greek fusion taco! It’s our delicious chicken fajitas topped with shredded lettuce, pico de gallo, and our very own homemade tzatziki sauce. So, so good.
Gettin’ Ribby Wit It
Tender mesquite-smoked baby back ribs shredded off the bone and thrown into a tortilla. Topped just like our famous Po Boy. Onions, pickles, and a light hickory BBQ cream sauce.
The Sassy Sow
Mesquite-smoked pulled pork seasoned with our house dry rub. It’s topped with onion, a chipotle BBQ cream sauce, and a homemade traditional cabbage slaw.
The Whole Enchilada
Shredded chicken slow cooked in a South Texas red chili enchilada sauce. It’s topped with diced onion, jack cheese, and a drizzle of fresh enchilada sauce.
Don’t Go Bacon My Heart
A fluffy bed of shredded lettuce stacked with three slices of bacon, our fresh pico de gallo, and a drizzle of our famous roasted poblano cream sauce.
The Missing Link #1
An in-house mesquite-smoked Polish-style sausage link wrapped in a tortilla. Topped with a grilled onion and bell pepper medley, and a drizzle of chipotle BBQ cream sauce.
It Takes Two To Tinga
Shredded chicken thighs cooked lovingly in a chipotle roasted tomato sauce seasoned with garlic, onion, cumin, and other spices. Topped street-style with onions, cotija cheese, cilantro, and a lime wedge.
The Sweet Sunrise
Chicken thighs cooked slowly in an achiote paste and citrus-based sweet and savory marinade. Topped with pickled red onions and pico de gallo.
To Beef Or Not To Beef
Totally VEGAN. Beyond Beef beefy crumbles seasoned with our house taco seasoning, tomato sauce, and red and yellow bell peppers. Topped with shredded lettuce, diced onion, and diced tomato.
SIDES
RICE RICE BABY
FOR A 4OZ PORTION (BIGGER THAN IT SOUNDS) Tex-Mex rice. Always a good addition to a pretty darn good taco. Get some on the side, add some holy frijoles, dump it on a plate, and you’ve got yourself the makings for a good meal. This is vegetarian/vegan friendly.
HOLY FRIJOLES
FOR A 4OZ PORTION (AGAIN, BIGGER THAN IT SOUNDS) Some Tex-Mex “refried” beans. Them’s some good beans. These are the same beans that make up our kiddo tacos. Pair it with some Rice Rice Baby and you’ve got yourself a hearty meal. These beans are vegetarian/vegan friendly.
DRAFT BEER
LOCAL ALASKAN DRAFT BEER

Very friendly staff and tidy restaurant. We had the barbacoa, the Texan, and the Merican. All were great, meats well seasoned and moist. In case you prefer corn tortillas, they use flour tortillas that taste amazing!

This place is a friendly place. It’s warm inside. The owner himself is up front and personal. The food is fast. They also offer nachos. He moved here from San Antonio and wanted to create here the flavors he missed there. They offer beer, coke in bottles and they make their own tea and lemonade. It’s probably the best rice and beans in all of Fairbanks and the tacos are memorable. Just wish I came in sooner.

Been in here plenty of times – usually super fast, very friendly, large portions, and tasty. Homemade flour tortillas are a nice touch. Only negatives are that the menu is small and rarely changes, it’s expensive compared to lower 48 (but reasonable for AK), and I didn’t think the rice was amazing. Maybe I got it on an off day.

Lane’s is so great! The have quick service with delicious, flavorful tacos. They have a lot of options for the meat eater and the vegetarian. It’s great that you can come in any of the tacos for the $9 for 2 meal. I loved their in-house made hot sauce. Finally hot sauce with real flavor. Definitely going again!

We were visiting from Eagle River, AK, for a couple of nights, and my husband found this place on google. The google pics (which looked super delicious) convinced us to give it a try and, since it was on our way to our hotel, we figured we might as well; especially since we’ve tried different mexican restaurants in Eagle River and Anchorage and have been very disappointed (we havent found a place that has made us want to go back).
