Stopped by while recently visiting from the west coast. Had a fish fillet (mild) and quarter white chicken (medium). Chicken was very good, compatible with other top hot chicken places in Nashville. The fish was the star. It may have ruined eating fried fish for me in the future, as I am not sure I will ever be able to find anything this good in the future. Absolutely blew me away. Well done!

We had to try hot chicken in Nashville but taking the advice of a few YouTubers we ventured outside of the downtown core. We went out of our way to go to Granddaddy’s Famous Hot Chicken. It did not disappoint! Flavourful, juicy and yes we did not go passed medium heat! Call us chicken! Highly recommend eating here. Owners are super friendly and we enjoyed our visit. Everything was great. I’ve tried many hot chicken places and this is by far my favorite. Juicy chicken with a perfect crunch followed by flavorful heat. I got the medium and it was actually spicy. I recommend putting the spicy seasoning on fries, okra and anything else on the menu. Really glad I found this place. Can’t wait to make the trip back

I have tried this place several times since moving to the Joelton area and absolutely love it. The owner goes out of his way to make sure you’re completely satisfied with your order. There is a good bit of grease on the food but that’s part of it in my opinion!

I recently organized a golf trip with 32 golfers in Nashville and reached out to Granddaddy’s. Our group was BLOWN AWAY by their food – and even more impressed by the quality of their service. The family put together a full menu for our event and everyone just raved about the kabobs, leg quarters, corn, etc. We did a mix of mild/medium/hot and tried to get several sides so our group had some variety. Everything was delicious. Granddad, his wife, and his boys hand-delivered the order and we chatted for a bit. It was clear they were passionate about their business and took a lot of pride in their recipes. I will forever go out of my way to swing by this place when I visit Nashville. Keep up the great work!

Had a great experience there and will be back. Customer service was excellent from Tiffany and the hot chicken lit me up lol. It was delicious. So many options on the menu to come back and try something different. Running into this place today was a blessing. Also if you like custom cups, glasses etc get at Tiffany. Had to grab this Beetlejuice cup for the wife. It’s a surprise. Gonna get a Philadelphia Eagles cup made next time for myself.

Food was fair. Too spicy for me personally. My biggest dislike was the pricing. I understand inflation and prices are going to be higher, but this to me was excessive. I asked for onions instead of ranch on my sandwich and was charged 2$ extra dollars. Also was charged a random 15% service fee of over 8$. Over 68$ for 4 people and 3 people didn’t get drinks or sides.

I didn’t think hot chicken could get much better….wrong! I stopped by for a chicken sandwich and mac and cheese and both were amazing. Very crispy juicy chicken and super HOT and the mac and cheese is the best! The chicken seasoning is sooooo good!
