Ordered chicken fried steak and Caesars salad. Chicken fried steak is as good as you’d expect from other places. Run of the old mill quality. Biscuit was really hard (unusual for biscuits but maybe this is just how they make it here). I came in with low expectations for the Caesar salad and it was exactly what I thought: never order salad anywhere. High 3 stars restaurant (near 4 stars)

The food here is decent but the menu is a bit sparse. Whether you dine in or take out, your meal is served on disposable take-out plates and cartons, plastic cutlery, etc. Customers order at the counter, find their own seat, and bus their own tables when done. The overall experience is not that of a diner style cafe, rather more of a cafeteria. If you’re looking for a sit down breakfast, this probably won’t meet your expectations.

While the atmosphere looks so cute and I love how they have information on the area. The food sadly was another story. Both my husband and daughter got sick from the food. The people there talked like no customers were there and about costumes to their faces. We will not be going back sad to say. I wish I could say something good but having to deal with people being sick from the food is not good.

We arrived in Leavenworth and were waiting for our room to be ready but were really hungry so we looked up local places & found this one. It appealed to us because of the Texas BBQ. We’re recent transplants from CA & were missing some good tri-tip or something close, so we chose this place. We mapped it & realized it was a little out of the area but still decided to go. To be clear, it’s more up into the hills and than we realized BUT it was lightly snowing & it was a beautiful drive.

Great portion sizes , friendly staff , and nice indoor and outdoor seating. Very welcoming staff serving home-style made-to-order fresh food and baked goodies. Seems great for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The staff even got me an extension cord so I could charge my laptop and do some work. They have wifi. The only thing I would change is making more spaces for a coffee shop / work space vibe with plugs ! But thank you for serving our mountain community.

Great food and really friendly service! The biscuits are HUGE and really good. I got the chicken fried steak breakfast and it was really good. Loved the gravy. Everything tasted home cooked. The people working were super friendly and place was nice enough inside. If you want a hearty breakfast this is the place to start the day.

Texas owned and operated tasty place for great breakfast, lunch and dinner. Delicious breakfast foods are served all day and coffees. Their dinner consists of TX style BBQ but they have several other sandwich options, baked potatoes, yummy fried okra. You can eat there inside or out or take it with you. Don’t forget your Shiner beer for a true TX meal.
