Park 54 is inspired by the life and service of the men who served in the 54th Regiment – a volunteer infantry comprised of free Black American male soldiers. The regiment was established in Readsville, MA, now known as Hyde Park. Despite the backlash the men received for fighting in a white man’s war each of them bravely risked their lives for the freedom and betterment of their families, community, and country.

I tried park 54 for the first time during dine out week, we were a group of 4. The food was great I had the fried snapper, I was surprised it was flour fried I’m use to skin fried snapper but it was still delicious. I will say the peach cobbler came out cold, the manger did apologize about that. The lemonade and cornbread are absolutely delicious. The hostess did come over and tell us she needs our table about 10 minutes after we paid despite the 5 tables around us being completely empty and upstairs was empty as well we were there around 430 pm on a Thursday.

It was pretty busy, but once someone came over to help us an excellent dinner took place. Steak medium rare was cooked perfect. Red snapper had a fantastic crisp. Candied yam was to die for.

Food is amazing, a bit pricey but worth it. I came during the summer so I guess it was still pretty new and maybe they were still getting used to the new business, but the service was okay. Our server was really nice but would forget about us a lot and we had to remind her and the food took quite a while. I’d say we were probably waiting like 40 min in total for our food, like 20 for our entrees and definitely another 20 just for our dessert. They are super busy all the time so reservations are needed and the food is delectable. The drinks are really strong

Now Baby this is it. The food was the bomb me and my fiance went here on a Thursday night around 9:30 and we were sat immediately inspite of a full place. The service was tremendous and very professional. This is my 3rd time here but for some reason it felt like my first time. The muffins are wonderful. I’m definitely thinking bout having my bday here.

Let’s start off with our server Everett. He was very nice and did the best he could with the tools he was provided with. Now to the elephant in the room. We decided to celebrate a birthday and support a black business. Overall Food was good, some things better than others. Drinks were way overpriced and didn’t taste that good. We ordered two rounds of shots. So the price was outrageous. We waited for long periods of time between drinks. Insane. The vibe was lit but everything combined it’s not worth it. I almost wish black business was more affordable. It feels like your getting ripped off by your own peoples to enjoy a good time. I will end with this. My boyfriend loved the cornbread! Was delicious

We had the Cajun wings, the colosal shrimp and the shrimp and grits. All was fabulous! Super friendly service too. I had forgotten what real good collard greens are supposed to taste like, theirs were amazing! Will be back!

The food is good. I had their chicken and waffles. The chicken was good but the waffles were too toasted for me. I came with my family and everyone enjoyed what they had. There’s a DJ with loud music playing. All the people working there were friendly and professional.
