This place really does a good job of giving your that authentic Japanese restaurant feel, even the waitresses and sushi chefs wesr a nice uniform to match the atmosphere. The place is lovely and the setting near the water is beautiful.

Haven’t had sushi from sushi sono in a really long time but everything was still top notch. The wife and I ordered a platter to share 6 different roll including golden roll, lobster roll, crispy roll, crab roll, and rock n roll. The presentation and flavors were great. The rice was well formed and cuts of fish were defined. The ratio to each ingredient was well though out. Just by looking at the party tray I can tell they are putting in effort and care into the dish which reflects on the handling of each ingredient with respect.

One of the best sushi place here in Columbia. The sushi taste good and the food was so cheap. The environment and the customer service were very good. I highly recommended that place. Will check out again for sure.

Sushi was nothing special, and the service was bad. I decided to try something new and did not like it at all. The waitress asked if I wanted a box for it but I said “no, thanks” to which she replied “WHY?!?” I told her I did not like it very much and she told me I shouldn’t have ordered it in the first place and that I should have read the menu properly… I told her it was my first time there…. She really had some audacity. I also saw her slap another customer’s hand at the next table….

This is one of the only places that has been in business forever and has not sacrifice on the quality of their food to make an extra buck. The regular sashimi boat I received was premium, a couple notches up from Azumi(in Baltimore) and comparable to Toro in DC. The inside atmosphere is a little fancier at the city sushi restaurants metioned, this location was nice with a view overlooking the lake. The rolls were different from other restaurants and unique. My favorite was the Black Snapper which is the whole fish prepared sashimi and Nigiri style. Totally amazing!!! There are always 4-5 attentive friendly servers tending to your table. This place is definitely worthy of a sushi date night.

Our favorite sushi in Howard County. Very friendly service. We have come here many times, and it has been our daughter’s birthday request for the past 10+ years. Always enjoyable and authentic experience.

Loved the restaurant, service, most of the rolls were pretty good. Unfortunately think one of the rolls gave my wife and I food poisoning. You never really know the source when that happens but it seemed to hit about 30 minutes after we left there.

Food was delicious except when I ordered she said everything was fine then about 15min later she came back and said they didn’t have Uni (sea urchin) then a few more minutes later she came back and said they had no ikura (salmon roe) I was very disappointed. If I had been told they were out of both…I’d have left and gone elsewhere.

Sashimi and nigiri are pretty good. Nigori rice has the right amount of sour and sweet to enhance but not overpower the fish. Fish are very good quality for the price. Although Yakitori is more like teriyaki.
