I’m not sure why anyone likes this place. First off it’s Italian so the bar can only be set so high and it’s pretty difficult to mess up. However, Carusos did an incredible job of proving me wrong. The food was so salty! They even poured us a spoiled bottle of wine. Service was great. Food is absolute trash. Want solid Italian go to Filomena, Del Mar or Lupo. Worth the trip to dc.

Absolutely delicious food and just as good as the DC Location. The interior is infinitely more cozy and roomy than the DC location all while being in our backyard. The menu is exactly the same as the DC location and the food quality is also the same. I love this place and am so happy I don’t need to go to DC anymore.

The food is just so good!! The fettuccine with mushroom Alfredo is one of the most delicious pastas I’ve ever eaten, not too heavy, and the anti pasto is fresh and perfect for an appetizer. My husband and I were out for an anniversary date and our server insisted we try tiramisu. That is not usually my favorite but we were happy she recommended it, this one was incredibly good. Cannot say enough good things about the food and the wait staff

Highly recommend Caruso’s for quality Italian food. The pasta and service was some of the best I’ve ever had. We were told by our server that the most popular orders were the garlic bread, Caruso’s alfredo, and spicy Neapolitan Ragu, and we tried them. My wife thought the spicy Neapolitan Ragu was a little too salty, but everything was perfect for my taste.

We made the mistake of eating at the bar shared by Caruso’s and Owens. My boyfriend and I were convinced that we were invisible. We were totally ignored while staff bantered with each other and what we assumed were regulars at the bar. They avoided eye contact and we noticed this same type of “service” happen to a man next to us at the bar. The food service was pretty timely but there was no bread served with the food. The antipasto was heavy on canned vegetables and the burrata was very tasty. We had planned to order entrees and pasta when walked in but we were hungry and had no idea how long it would take to get the staff’s attention to get our order in. We also didn’t want to reward the horrendous service, so we left to get the rest of our dinner elsewhere. I look forward to trying the DC outpost, but will never come back to this restaurant.

We recently hosted a small lunchtime event at Caruso’s at Pike & Rose and it was a wonderful experience. The management and staff were so incredibly friendly, accommodating, and truly made us feel like welcome guests at their restaurant. The quality of both the service and food were top notch. It is certainly one of the best Italian restaurants in the area, and I would highly recommend it for any and all occasions.

Never been to the dc location so this was my first visit. Absolutely loved it. Good quality was great, the flavors were amazing, and the staff was nice and very attentive. Definitely coming back here and is now one of my top favorite spots in Pike & Rose

Sat on a Friday night with reservations and found excellent food and service. I was particularly impressed with the espresso martinis. The antipasto and antipasto martinis complimented excellently with each other. 10/10 will be back again. Chicken parm is a must have for first timers. The ragu was divine. This restaurant is a hidden gem. Don’t forget a digestive at the end. Their cocktails are top shelf.

My husband and I had a lovely dinner. I’m, unfortunately, allergic to garlic, but I know there are some Italian dishes that can be prepared without and I was very pleased to find out how accommodating they were! Very friendly staff and the food was delicious. We will be back!

My first and last time at Caruso’s. I had high hopes that were quickly dashed by really bad service and mediocre food. Our waiter became visibly annoyed when I asked for flat or tap instead of the sparkling water he had brought, and was aloof bordering on rude throughout the rest of our meal. My friend and I got the Caruso’s Alfredo and Spaghetti & meatballs which were nowhere near worth the $20+ (especially given the small portion served.) We later both felt sick to our stomachs, which makes me wonder how fresh the pasta and sauces really are. The restaurant itself is very loud and tables are cramped together—I could barely squeeze between the table next to ours to finally leave (and I am very much a smaller than average sized human). We had a horrible experience and both agreed we will not be returning.
