I was notified by email that my order was ready for pick up. Upon arrival I was told that there was NO kale prepped for my kale Cesar salad. The employee stated that they were short staffed for the day and no one prepped the kale. I was then told that I had to wait additional time that there was someone in the back washing the kale and starting the prep work. I am on lunch and I have limited time. This is unacceptable and a huge inconvenience for me! This is a salad place, there is no reason why ingredients were not prepped ahead of time. The fact that this location is under staffed is not my problem nor should it affect the customer service/experience.

My last review was during covid. The salads are great. Have seemed to gone down in amount within bowls and price went up. The place is busy but employees are so great at there job and get the line moving, even within line orders at the same time. I wouldn’t avoid the resturant even with a line going to the door. Enjoy your salad, I see new food on the menu pop up also but haven’t tried any.

As a vegetarian I prefer no meat. The lady doing the kale salad was mad and unpleasant. Did not want to serve me and my friend. Was in a rush with an attitude, and the place was not even busy. She asked us to order everything at once…

SweetGreen is always my regular lunch/dinner spot when I visit DC for work. I love the seasonal menus and the fact that it’s not just another “salad place”. The staff are friendly, the shop is clean, and the salad always hits the spot.

This is an awful location as they constantly close early, telling customers they don’t have protein or lettuce at 930, so they can leave early. If they don’t want to work a full shift they should just turn off rhe lights and shut the doors, instead of wasting the time of patrons .
