I had a very disappointing, easier described as terrible experience eating at this restaurant this afternoon for lunch. I arrived there with my friend and we were looking over the menu, which seemed to be a little bit over priced but I didn’t think much of it until I ordered. My 8″ and a drink totaled $10.74, which was very surprising due to the fact that my sub on the menu was listed as $7.79, inferring that taxes and my drink totaled $2.95, ridiculous for a regular sized drink. My friend ordered after me, a sub for our co-worker back at the office, then his own meal. He ordered a sub and a water, which put him at around $8, and the requirements for paying with a card has to be over $10. He decided to add two small orders of fries and was just under, so he also added bread sticks. Another worker there said to make his order a combo with the bread sticks, that way he’d be over $10, he agreed and they made it happen, totaling $11.69. Our drinks were never handed to us until we had to go up later and ask for them, to the annoyance of the cashier, and later on we asked about our friends sub. At this point all of the workers were sitting at a table gossiping with each other, so our service was slowed until they realized that we were waiting. They got the sub and returned to their table. Before leaving, My friend asked about the bread sticks and the one lady at the table turned around and snapped, visibly annoyed at our concern, shouting “What bread sticks? ” The lady next to her, who took our order mind you, also interjected “I didn’t hear any bread sticks, he didn’t order any.” Confused, we discussed our combo order and that we added bread sticks and fries to his order to make $10. The employees denied all of our inputs on our order and were extremely rudely answering our questions. She then, very annoyed with us so far, asked us if we wanted to order bread sticks, which we said no to. The employees then ignored us afterwards and returned to their table as we cleaned up and left the establishment.

Love the chance to get lunch with my wife here! I normally stick with the chicken bacon ranch grinder, the large so my wife and I can split it. Normally call ahead 15 minutes so its ready when I arrive. Last visit the ice machine was down but I’m sure they will have it repaired soon.

Was 5 stars but little by little they’ve gotten a bit chintzy…12 French fries, pieces of red pepper when it used to be whole red peppers and a pile of fries. Also, the dressing is rather bland now… before it had punch. I had the sicilian btw, an awesome sandwiche! Staff is always great. Prices are fair. Do love this place, travel 50 mikes round tro just for that sandwiche.

First of all, I’ve eaten at several Mancino Grinder and sub locations (I presume it’s a family endeavor??) particularly in Southeast Mi, and always loved it, so I was happy to find one in Caro while there. The good news first, for the sake of fairness is that the my Grinder was as delicious as I remember them to be. I was however disappointed that my salad was a tiny portion of the same shredded lettuce used for the subs, with a teaspoon of cheese and a tomato wedge. This was a little bit of a turn off, but then it got worse. When the Grinder came out, my partners sandwich had items on it that she asked to be omitted when we ordered. When she let out a sigh of disappointment and began picking items iff, the young female employee simple said “oh, sorry” and walked away. No offer of a new sandwich or to fix it. Although none of this is worthy of serious complaint on its own, it’s when you couple it with this final lack of customer care and courtesy that absolutely ruined our visit here. My partner opened her sandwich and there were 4 small banana pepper rings. When she went up to ask for a small cup of extra peppers, we were shocked when the same female employee said to my partner very sternly “yep… for an extra .70 cents you can!”. I was a little taken aback. I stepped in and reminded her respectfully that I just spent $30.00 for lunch and my partners sandwich wasn’t right. I continued that I thought it would be a nice customer courtesy to simply give her the pepper rings, she became rude and indignant and kept repeating “I don’t make the rules… the owner does!!” I became more disappointed. When I asked her if that meant even at the expense of losing repeat customers… She said “I guess, if that’s how you feel, but I don’t make the rules!” . Maybe to sum, this is petty, but to me, the lack of concern for the customers dining enjoyment and satisfaction was enough to preclude me from ever visiting again. I hope this will affect change in the way the customer is viewed and handled atvthis location…. because once again, the grinders are absolutely wonderful. It’s a shame really. D

Great place to grab lunch or even go for an informal sit down dinner. Large enough menu offers many very tasty choices. One of Caro’s nicer features. Nothing to fancy just real fresh goood foood!

Pizza is the only way to go if you eat here. Garden salad was just lettuce, lots of onions, tomatoe wedge covered in cheese. The bread for my sandwich was good. The food was ok, but the pizza is way better.

I’ve been to the one in Lapeer dozen of times so I was excited to find this place, unfortanly the only thing they have in common is a name. I had a steak grinder and it was pretty bad.
