This location had some of the nicest crew on this side of the west. Jocy was very friendly, and attentive. This was first time actually getting dinner, I usually stick to breakfast at these type restaurants. I have to admit, I was very surprised at how good the food was. I picked up the sampler which had fried shrimp, fried chicken striped strips, steak tip strips, with a side of biscuits. Really good, at an affordable price. Overall good food, a good amount of parking and friendly staff will guarantee that I will be back to this location.

Loved the atmosphere but my maple bacon chicken didn’t taste like maple at all. The spicy honey BBQ tenders were awesome! Hashbrown casserole was great! Had nice crunchy parts that I like. Southern fried chicken player was enormous! We all got to go boxes because none of us could finish! I would go back.

One of our favorite chain restaurants! We were excited to see it open in Bakersfield. Sadly, the food at this location isn’t up to par with others we have visited. The portion sizes were smaller than normal and the fried foods were a bit too greasy.

Highly recommend the fried chicken with French toast. Chicken was fried to perfection. I love that it came with its own bottle of house syrup in a glass jar. The peach tea was amazing also. I was curious to try the fried pickles and I suggest you order them if you are a pickle fan. The service was amazing. I loved my server so much! Thank you again.

First time here 8-2-23 was not what I was expecting. Very charming simplistic menu. Very home-y feeling. Got here just before the rush. (5pm) Drinks and food came lightning fast. Friend got the trout. I got the sirloin. Asked for mid rare but got medium. No big deal, food-borne illness concerns probably. Will come back to try the southern and dessert dishes.

Stopped in for a quick meal on our road trip. Folks were very nice and the food was good. Great place to stop for a bite right off the highway.

Bakersfield location at Hwy 99 and California. Fresh biscuits, tasty veggies. Mashed potatoes with brown gravy were particularly good. Okra was a little bland. Will visit again when we’re passing through.

This place has really good service. The food was really well prepared. The lemon pepper rainbow trout was really good & had a diverse selection of sides. Maybe it’s because my friend said everything here is frozen. Maybe it’s just good. Either way it’s worth the trip. At a price point of $15.99, you can’t can’t beat that considering the full flavor and great atmosphere. Don’t forget to stop by the gift store on your way out. It’s charming.

Food is good with a good mix of breakfast food and southern comfort food. They also have a nice little store you can go through while waiting for your table. The store has everything from wall art, food, small toys and even clothes. We went with a large group and they were able to seat us fairly quickly. Benches and rocking chairs line the outside so that you sit while you wait. They also have outdoor patio seating. The service was good but the ambiance is loud inside so it can be difficult to have a quiet conversation. Biscuits are great and the chicken and dumplings are always tasty.
