Very authentic Chinese noodle. It was really good. This one tasted little bit like sweet and sour soup just without sour part though. I would defiantly go back. Popping pearl smoothie was really good too.

It’s the broth that really matters in Chinese noodle soup. I ordered a beef belly and tendon noodle soup for $12 which according to some friends is supposedly to be the best choice but what i can taste is soy sauce with water in the broth. But noodle and beef itself can be considered good in America. This noodle was marked as spicy, but didn’t taste like spicy at all to my personal standard. Good thing is that the service is good and you can go ask for extra chilli. And most important thing is that the environment is clean. So if you are not too picky it’s a good place to go for Americanized Chinese noodle.

I shares a lunch special with my grandson which is 3 and it was very good and plenty for both. We had the chicken and broccoli. They do charge $1 extra for fried rice, but very worth it.

The beef stew soup is very nice. Rich broth, unctuous beef, bok choy and green onion. For a lighter broth go with chicken, shrimp and pork soup. In 2003 a bowl cost $6, now it’s over $12. Learn to fast my friends for physical and financial health.

Came here with no real expectation, but rice was terrible (boiled in a bag?), egg rolls were the size of a q-tip, chicken entres clearly tasted like they were from a frozen box. Way too expensive for crappy meal.

Honestly, the DC area is not known for good Chinese food. Hunan Gourmet has about the best tasting Chinese in the area. Aside from the normal Americanized offerings they also offer some more unique and authentic dishes. Its in Fair Oaks mall so don’t expect great decor. They deliver so if you live near by this is the way to go.

I ordered shrimp fried rice and minced pork over rice. Both dishes tasted authentic. The rice in the minced pork over rice was not cooked with enough water or not long enough because it was al dente.

Very good home style beef noodle soup with huge chunks of tender beef. Takeout is git or miss. Sour pickled cabbage overtakes broth.

I always love the food here. My family is American, so we usually order the classic fried rice, lo mein, orange chicken, etc. We are always happy and love coming on a Sunday for lunch.
