Stopped here on a trip from Wisconsin, which everything was great. Food was fast, reasonably priced and very good… the staff was fantastic! Good music with indoor and outdoor seating, the seating is first come first serve. We would definitely stop here again if in the Ozarks. Also, there is a $3 toll CASH ONLY to get to this location….but the view from the bridge is worth it.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Papa Chubbies!! We have been searching for a GREAT pizza and finally found one! It is indescribable, you have to try it for yourself! We love the atmosphere and being from Cedar Co Iowa seeing those license plates on the wall as well as all the other antiques makes for such a great, home like atmosphere. Papa Chubbies is right along the water, mm 26. If you haven’t been I HIGHLY recommend giving them a try! Keep in mind they are seasonal so check their website for their opening and closing dates.

The restaurant was busy tonight and our server Nate explained after seating us that they were short on staff and apologized for a possible service delay. Our food came out fast and was delicious. We have been to many restaurants that were fully staffed with much slower service. Nate was hustling and was multi tasking and gave us excellent service. We will definitely be back!

On vacation my family ordered pizza to go. The food was amazing. Went to dine in and get drinks the next day while my kids swam. The atmosphere is cute. That’s where the good ends. I sat at the bar for over 10 minutes. Two bartenders and an empty bar, they were too busy gossiping with waitresses to even greet me. After talking to locals it sounds like this is common. I wouldn’t eat here unless you have hours to waste, if they don’t forget to put your order in all together.

Great place to come in off the lake or the pavement! The staff is so fun, the kitchen kicks out amazing food so fast! Definitely recommend! Oh and Papa Chubby’s pizza….. speaks for itself! Go try it! You’ll be happy you did.

This place has a boat dock to park at. It is open seating. They have indoor and outdoor seating including an indoor and outdoor bar. There is a small beach area. We ordered a pitcher of beer for everyone. We also ordered the Hawaiian pizza. It is cut into large squares so it perfectly feeds 2 people. It was good, but the cheese was unevenly distributed and not super melted. It came out way before the other food which was interesting. We also ordered the steak sandwich (which was chewy and tough), the fish bites (which were good), the Italian beef sandwich (which had a small amount of meat, and did not have au jus, just oil), and the Chicago hot dog which was rubbery, including the hot dog and the bun, so it was inedible. The place was not busy but it was hard to get service from our waitress. She would walk by and look at us but not say anything. We had to flag her down for the bill. She asked how everything was and we told her about the inedible hot dog and she said, “Oh, I’m sorry about that” in a very monotone voice at the same time she swiped the credit card on their tablet device. How ironic. The atmosphere is pretty cool, but the food was so-so. The best thing was the pizza. Overall, we will not be returning here, as there are many other lakeside places with good food.

FINALLY! It’s a resteraunt now! New owners actually care. They have food runners and a hostess and what a wonderful change! Went to eat and everything was perfect. Our server Brady did a great job. This is how the place should have been years ago! Very impressed cant wait to see all the expansions in the future! The new LOZ hidden gem! Great atmosphere! Definitely recommend going now!
