I love the taste. It’s definitely the best Mexican restaurant to many people in DeKalb. Also, the large portion sizes is a win-win as the food has both taste and quantity. I was also surprised by the ice cream varieties the restaurant has. The workers here are very polite and nice. I would definitely come here back again to eat 🙂

This small Mexican restaurant and ice cream bar is located in a residential area. The food is authentic and delicious. Friendly service provided throughout our visit. Homey atmosphere, a perfect place for a casual lunch date with a spouse or special friend. My wife and I will certainly return!

Was recommended to try this place out for great Mexican food, and I met a colleague for lunch. My one and only, only recommendation is to make it clearer that the taco menu is per taco, meaning if you want more than one, you need to be specific and state how many you want. Now, I ordered their signature Flamingo burrito. Not the biggest I’ve ever seen, but it is a really good size. As I dove in, I quickly found it was probably the most flavorful burrito I’ve eaten. The peppers, onions, grilled chicken, and CHEESE…yes CHEESE made for a perfect combination. Love every, single bite. This place is off the beaten path in Dekalb, but, I assure you, it’s worth it! I can’t speak for the ice cream, but I’ll be back to give that a whirl!

I had came here years before and the food was good along with the mangonada ice cream but today I got pistachio ice cream and the price was a bit higher than most places and it was very gritty that I couldn’t get past it and was a waste of 8 dollars. Food is good but won’t recommend getting ice cream there anymore

So unfortunate bc I used to tell everyone to go here, foods amazing!! But I walked in today to get soup, and immediately was greeted with pure ignorance and attitude. I don’t know who the girl is that was working the register today but you need to get rid of her, I ended up walking out bc the way she was acting was so disrespectful for absolutely no reason. I like your food flamigo but that’s only half of it, restraurants need to realize the service you give, the people you hire reflects your business.

Food presentation terrible also taste not good . Ordered omelette we with mushrooms. Mushrooms were canned. Mushrooms we looked gray. I asked for coffee and it was instant coffee I was shocked. I tasted i The Omelette anyway and l then left. Charged and paid 20.00 dollars!

Well, they rice and beans are good, if you get the carne asada the grilled steak is great, which is rare. Not a fan of the red and green salsas, I have had better. But overall, this is the best restaurant in the area.

Love coming here! Food is good, the agua de melon is my fave!! The staff is always nice! The family that own this place is the family that owned burrito loco!! And even there the food and service was good!! Highly recommend flamingos!! They also have a good selection of desserts american and mexican desserts!!
