We used to love Madison’s so much, first time visiting in over 4 years. Overall, it was a good time spent together. I had ordered my meal and a salad afterward, and the server asked if I wanted cheese on it. I assumed she meant on my salad since that was the last thing I ordered. I said yes, and when my French dip came out it was covered in cheese. She didn’t specify at all which item was getting cheese so I ended up not eating my French dip due to the fact it tasted AWFUL with provel cheese. After the server came by to ask why I hadn’t touched much of my food, I explained why and all she said was “oh my bad” and then walked away. Clarification would have gone a long way.

Our waitress, Brandy, was excellent! The food was delicious. The house salad is most definitely a must..highly recommend! The stuffed mushrooms and cream of mushroom soup were very good. The Cod Fish and French fries were equally delicious. Will definitely be back!

We started with the Angry Shrimp for an appetizer. They really need to work on this dish, as the breading was bland and just fell off the shrimp. The chipotle raspberry sauce came as a side to dip, but maybe needs to be tossed with the shrimp? It was just an odd dish. I will say I would rate their tortellini as one of the top 3 I’ve ever had. The sauce was rich and creamy with prosciutto, mushrooms and peas. My coworker was not a fan of the seasoned chicken that was in the Chicken Jalapeño Pasta. The seasoning was very strong and seemed “raw”, as if it needed to be cooked in, not just rubbed on. But she did like the flavor of the sauce with the pasta itself. The bread that was served in a basket with the meal was dry and bland (sorry…forgot to get a photo). Our server was very friendly and accommodating and our drinks were kept full without asking. There is street parking available, as well as a public parking garage across the street.

We held a wedding reception there on August 25, 2023 for 50 people and I can not brag enough on how well it turned out! The waitresses were very attentive and gave us excellent service! The food came out quickly and was delicious!! It is a great venue for a reception! Tanner, Tyler and Rob were awesome to work with!! I highly recommend Madison’s Cafe!!

We were on a road trip and just stopping by early on a Friday (5:00). Had seen it online and looked great. Unfortunately, only one of five scheduled kitchen staff showed up. Took an hour just to get appetizer and another half hour to get entrees. This was handled so well by wait staff and management. Our entire meal was comped and they were great. Food and atmosphere were awesome!

Went here to celebrate an anniversary and birthday. Drove from Columbia…The service was something I’d expect at a Sonic…food wasn’t bad yet not for the price they were charging. Atmosphere reminded me of the Boone Tavern restaurant. Lost my return trip
