Visited on a Sunday morning. Place was busy but not packed. Order at counter and brought to your table when ready. Menu is good with decent variety. Prices are in line with quality. Coffee is a self serve style carafe system, not my favorite, nor is it particularly quick to wait for each person one at a time to pour, sweeten , cream etc.. Also 2 of the 4 were empty and I observed the full ones being topped off but the empty one were not checked or refilled. Food quality was very good and the portions were generous, with both of us feeling full 75% through them. The wait for the food was longer than we would have liked with it hitting our table some 25 minutes after ordering despite there being only about 9 or 10 ppl in the place and some already having their meals. This was a day trip for us and decided to stop here while out so its not likely we will be in that area again soon so we can’t easily check to see if these issues were a “one off”. Looking at other reviews some of these seem to have a pattern.

I am new in town and stoped by the bistro for a quick breakfast, the service was amazing, so kind and friendly. I also stopped by Bean me up to grab a coffee, and the service was just as exceptional. Food is fantastic and cannot suggest this place enough. An amazing addition to Rochester downtown.

#1. I love that this place is open on Mondays! #2. Very good food and good service-love their menu and special options! Tried their vanilla bean latte and it was tasty. Also tried the chx and waffle benny, and the peach cobbler pancakes. Both were delicious! Home fries were cooked just right. Looking forward to trying some other items in the future, Recommend checking them out

First time for me. Too uppity for me. Didn’t like the selection of omelets so I wanted to build my own. Ordered my favorite bacon, broccoli and American cheese. Was told they don’t have any bacon or broccoli, and they don’t use American cheese. So I got the vegetarian … wasn’t a fan. Toast was not toasted. But the home fries were scrumptious. . I guess they aren’t for everybody.

Went for breakfast and they have 4 kinds of Breakfast Poutine! It was fantastic! Such a different thing I did not know I needed until I ate it! I also took home a couple baked goods for later and thoroughly enjoyed those well! Staff was nice and they had a variety of tasty coffees!

My only regret is not finding this gem sooner. This is without question the raining best breakfast anywhere in the area. If people have never eaten here especially for breakfast, you need to get here immediately. All of the items on the menu Are made with Love and attention. Excellent coffee!

The food tastes delicious. That’s the only saving grace with this place. I ordered a veg head omelette. I got a veg head scramble. I ordered a side of bacon and a side of sausage. I got the bacon and sausage added into another omelette I ordered. I ordered eat in, they boxed it to go. I ordered at 9:47am on a Saturday. I’ve finally received my food at 10:30am. It seems as though no one in this cafe listens at all.

This restaurant has so much potential- location and food are great! It’s also the only breakfast place nearby. The staff are friendly and work so hard to unbury themselves from a long line of tickets. It would be great to see them add more staff to improve some of the issues- the food takes more than half an hour most days, and there is a lack of attention to detail in cleanliness in the dining room (dirty dusty fans and vacuums out, visible water damage in ceiling, unbussed tables). All of this could be fixed with more staff and the business could serve more customers. I’ve seen people walk out due to wait times. The Bistro would also benefit from some some outdoor seating to accommodate their number of patrons. I love this place and want to see it succeed! Sending lots of praise to the current staff!
