I ordered dinner tonight on the recommendation of the owners sister who ate at my restaurant in wolcott last week, I must say the food was great, meats were tender and flavorful, sides didn’t disappoint either, food even traveled well back to my house in Southbury.

Went there for the first time today and ordered chicken wings, baked Mac and cheese with the broccoli bites. The food had zero seasoning on anything. When I think of comfort food, I think well seasoned and this lacked even salt and pepper. Disappointed isn’t even the word. $30 in and I’m back at home making my own lunch.

First and foremost, the service was OUTSTANDING, lovely staff, awesome customer service. The food is DELICIOUS !!! So good , reminds me of my grandmothers cooking. Tasty, savory, & flavorful, everything was a 10/10 . those who don’t seem to like the food here are most likely under the influence or under delusion. I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for soul food , you definitely taste and feel the soul !

3 years in my neighborhood and never heard of them… dam shame, gave them a try today and couldnt have been happier! Ordered large mac & brisket bowl.. brisket was bomb, shredded up and nicely seasoned. Mac was cheesy and had crispy peices mixed in like momma would do! Give them a try, i know ill be back

Second time I ordered And spent over 50 bucks and didn’t get my whole order. Good food but horrible accuracy when it comes to your order. NEVER order through doordash or Uber eats. They’ll never give you your full order. IN PERSON ORDERS ONLY!!

I got 3 types of wings, fried fish, collard greens, yams and Mac and cheese. The frying oil must be old because that’s all I could taste on the fish and wings, the collard greens tasted like they were just boiled in water with some red pepper no real flavor. The yams tasted like canned yams with a bunch of maple syrup. The Mac and cheese come on now this is one thing that should have been easy to master but it’s tasteless and the consistency is off use different types of cheese add some seasonings as a restaurant you should definitely have a recipe mastered on this one. I’m sorry to say but the food is just doesn’t have that homemade loving taste to it. It taste like someone who is like 20yrs old tried to do thanksgiving and never cooked before. Do better.
