A wonderful meal in an ambiance only found in the DC-area. We went on a Tuesday night to celebrate our anniversary, and from the first moment, the staff were attentive and went above and beyond to make it a memorable night. The setting is an old historic cabin from the 1800s that has been turned into an inn and restaurant over the years.

A great place for an awesome dinner with a gorgeous view. Amazingly delicious appetizers and mains, an extensive cocktail menu and just an all round relaxing dining experience. We just happened to be there when Mt. Vernon was setting off fireworks and we were able to catch part of the show.

We hosted our wedding reception at Cedar Knoll. The day of was beautiful and staff made us feel like royalty. The facility was set up beautifully and the food was all anyone could talk about. Our cake was delicious as well. We had about 110 guests and really could not have accommodated any more than that (with a dance floor). I would also recommend hiring a separate wedding planner if you book Cedar Knoll as communication and logistics were a challenge to nail down. We did have an outside planner/coordinator and I don’t think we would have been able to execute everything without her.

The whole experience was fabulous!! Delicious food, lovely environment, great wine list [we did a few bottles from France], the staff were friendly, and the menu options for restaurant week were great. It is a little pricey overall, so we really were happy for the restaurant week special. The wine presentation was the star of the night, we were very happy with that! We will definitely be back!

Intimate and Private. Cedar Knoll offers delicious American and French cuisine with waterfront views. Please request the window seat and come early for a gorgeous view. We started with delicious fried goat cheese and harvest salad. The Local oyster Stew and Pan roasted Rockfish was super yummy. I went here for a private event and I bought three glasses of wine which were not included in the private event. That cost me $60 with a proper tip. Three glasses of wine! Maybe I should give it less stars than I did but I do really love this place. I just wanted to warn people about the expense of three glasses of wine being over $50

Beautiful spot for a wedding! The staff are always so professional and helpful. I really love their new permanent tent patio structure. The motorized walls make a beautiful easily adjustable environment that also lets you enjoy the view and weather on a nice day. With great food and service, the quaint log cabin and dance floor space, I think Cedar Knoll is one of the best options for small weddings in Alexandria!

Great restaurant with a beautiful view on to the river! The food was delicious, the crab cakes were amazing! The inside area of the restaurant looks like you can have bigger parties over there and rent certain rooms. The outside patio was very comfortable and again offered a very nice view on to the river. On top of that they have a convenient parking lot right in front of the restaurant for free.
