Great hidden gem! Food was great especially lamb belly was flavorful. Grilled mussels simple but thumbs up! My wife and I enjoyed a lot! Definitely will come back!

Located inside the uber cool Dean Hotel, Thick Neck brings relaxed, minimalist digs worthy of being photographed for Kinfolk magazine. The service is on point and the food masterfully executed. We started with a cherry tomato, grilled peach, and thyme salad, exuding simple ingredients but expertly fused to create a balanced symphony of flavor. We couldn’t resist pairing that with an order of fennel bread with anchovies. The bread served warm and soft takes inspiration from an Indian bread, Kulcha, it was great for soaking up some of the salad’s naturally sweet broth. Our main course was a whole grilled fish (John Dory) with beans (a superbly fresh mix of pink legumes and chopped yellow haricots verts). The crispy seasoned fish skin… perfectly cooked. A changing seasonal menu beckons one to come back to try new creations. You won’t be disappointed.

Wow, what an unexpected treat. The crudo was good. The lamb belly platter for two- incredible. Loved watching my husbands reaction to every bite. I’m also glad we went against our norm and got both desserts in the menu- they were both unique and a wonderful combination of flavors. One of the better meals I’ve had in my 5+ years in Providence. Small seasonal menu so would look it up ahead of time if you have dietary restrictions (or are picky). Don’t sleep on Thick Neck!
