The food was good. For me, it is not worth $35 for 2 cheese burgers, 1 large fries, and 1 drink. Most of the posters were about how great 5 guys are.

Amazing experience. The burgers and fries were delicious. Alicia the manager was so kind and helpful. She went above and beyond to make our first time experience a wonderful one. The other staff was very friendly. The place was real clean. Definitely going to go back.

Went only once a few months after they opened. The food is very average, which is fine, but the prices are beyond belief. We shared 1 burger, 1 hot dog, 1 fry, and 1 drink and it was over $30. No idea how they stay open. Go next door to Texas Roadhouse and get a full sit-down meal for 2 for the same price.

Ordered from five guys last night. Clearly they didn’t care about our order and completely disregarded what we ordered and just threw things together. It was so greasy my boyfriend wouldn’t even eat it. Fries were the most soggy sub par fries I’ve ever had. Meat was flavorless and undercooked. It was almost like they passive aggressively put together our order? Seriously, it was like eating food from a high school cafeteria. We may have even preferred that to be honest.

Seriously, $40 for two bacon cheeseburgers, 1 regular fries and two fountain drinks? That’s extremely overpriced. The food and staff were great, but at that price, I will not be back.

I heard nothing but good things, but when I tried for the first time last night I was scared to take a bite. Our custom orders were completely ignored, the burgers looked like they’d been stomped on, and they were so soaked with grease that it looked like they’d spent an hour in a vat of the stuff. I threw mine away without wasting a bite on it and wished I’d done the same with our depressingly soggy fries. Would very much recommend McDonalds before Five Guys. Save money and have food that’s actually edible (though still debatably so). Hell, I’d recommend a dumpster before this place.

First visit to Five Guys in Ames. Great Time, good food, probably top two or three burgers in Ames. A LOT A fries, a regular is pictured, plus there is more in the bottom of the bag. More parking than you would think. No wifi, no place to lock up bike, outside seating though, great bathrooms.

First time visit and it was amazing. The staff was super friendly and smiled, talked me thru everything they had. Watched them cook it unlike alot of places and got out fast!

Rude staff, made my burger without bacon, and shorted me on fries. I ordered a large fry and didn’t even get a full container much less a bag full like you’re supposed to get.

Soda machines are worse than McDonald’s ice cream machines. $120 for a family of 6 to eat is nuts. Hardly ever get the correct order first time around
