Best restaurant in all of up north! Simple home comfort foods cooked to perfection. Our family favorite for over 30 years. Everything on the menu is delicious. I never had anything that wasn’t. My personal favorite is the Betty’s special burger with crinkle-cut fries. Do not leave without trying a slice of their homemade pie. Blueberry cheesecake, peanut butter, and banana cream pie are some of their best. Located right across the street from Boyne and a good mini Mart with gas.

Nice little mom and pop breakfast place. We had the farmers omelet, french toast, biscuits and gravy. Food and Service was good. The only down fall was the biscuit was kind of hard, but otherwise all else good. Very quick..

I’ll say up front that I’m biased. Betty (for whom the restaurant is named) gave me my first job. I worked for her for four summers back in the late 70s and early 80s. Today I went back somewhat for nostalgic reasons, but also to enjoy my favorite pancakes, which did not disappoint. I’d like to return later this week for lunch so that I can find out if the Betty’s Special Hamburger is as good as I remember it.

I was visiting with my best friend this weekend, and the breakfast was absolutely AMAZING! It was absolutely delicious and filling plus tasted like home. The staff was very friendly and personable and provided prompt and excellent service. If you are ever visiting northern Michigan, make sure you drop in at Betty’s. I’ll definitely be stopping there again on my next visit up! Thanks for making this Southern girl feel at home!

A hopping place. Had to wait about 10 minutes for a table but it was worth it. The wait staff was busy but friendly. And I was amazed at how much food their cook was pushing out. And good too. Give that man a raise.
