Dave and Melanie met in 1993 at a restaurant where Melanie was Dave’s waitress. For him, it was love at first sight, and within 1½ years they were married and started a family. Six years later, the owner of the restaurant where they met offered to sell the couple another business that he owned. It was one of Milwaukee’s original Schlitz taverns at 1900 W. St. Paul Ave, nestled in Milwaukee’s historic Menomonee Valley. We now call it Sobelman’s Pub & Grill.

You can’t go to Wisconsin and not have cheese! We ate the cheese cracks and they were delicious! The only complaint they came out last but the waitress never forgot about them! I will suggest if you sit outside the barrels are a little uncomfortable and awkward but they do have other options for outside seating! The food was amazing and the service was great, I’d definitely come here again if I had the chance!

This place is amazing, please don’t judge by my lack of photography skills! We went on a concert day so packed, people lined up out the door. We we’re able to get right up to the bar to get drinks and they had us seated in 30 min. Food was amazing! My picture may look like just a plain burger but it was way more than plain and simple when tiny morsels of each bite hit your taste buds. Now lets talk service! I couldn’t begin to tell you how much staff they had in such a little building but they were all incredible, knowledgeable, and running at 110%. With hardly any room to walk someone even picked up a broom and made sure the floor was swept in the middle of a major rush. Kudos to whomever is running this place because as a small business owner myself, I know just having enough employees can be challenging these days but having enough that are also AWESOME is a true talent and sign of great management. Definitely recommend this place for either just some quick drinks or to stay awhile and enjoy a great meal!

Had to go to the ORIGINAL for a bloody. Tried the one with the slider on the side and really enjoyed both the burger and the bloody mary. All of the other stuff on many long toothpicks was fun too. Eclectic place with lots of local memorabilia in the small eating area adjacent to the bar area. Was worth the stop – check it out.

What a wonderful space for taaaaasty bloodies! They’re super cheap and easily the best bloodies in Milwaukee. I’m coming back and bringing friends! They even gave us free cookies for fun! Dave is a great guy, say hi if you’re lucky to bump into him. What a great owner of a great establishment!

We absolutely love visiting here. The food and drinks are great! Definitely recommend ANY Bloody Mary! Staff is so friendly. Our kids are even treated amazingly. Ada was our server today and she was the absolute best! En gave the whole table warm chocolate chip cookies at the end! Thanks Ada! Thanks to everyone there!

Once I walked in the door, I was greeted by a friendly attendant. Was seated, and gretted right away by the bartender. Very friendly staff and employees that wasn’t even my waiter checked on me as well. Food was delicious but could use a larger portion of fries. If it wasn’t for the small fry portion, I would definitely give 5 stars.

Wife and I each had bloodies, which sobelman’s is known for and part of the draw. Each came with no shortage of toppings, and the bloody was delicious as well. My wife had a burger which was slightly overcooked and could have used more sauce… definitely not the best in Milwaukee as advertised. I had the pork tenderloin, which was huge, peppery, and tasteful. The fries on the side were also crunchy and delicious.

I was traveling to Milwaukee for work. They recommended Sobelman”s as the best burger. I would agree 100%. The food was great, the atmosphere was amazing. The owner and I talked for a little bit. He made me feel like I was a long time customer and friend. I would definitely recommend Sobelman’s. Next I am in town I will definitely be back.

This Bloody Mary is not on the menu. It’s the amazing secret that our waitress informed us about a year ago and it’s still available now. For only $20 you can’t go wrong with this one. Got dinner and drink all in one.
