It was quite a positive experience besides some minor things I’m sure they’ll work out here soon. The place hasn’t changed too much but definitely got the cleaning it needed and a fresh coat of paint.

First it was the worst “omelet” I’ve ever had, flat eggs with a slice of process American cheese in middle & slice on top. Gravy & biscuits served over 5 minutes after other guests plates and not even warm. We took out of town guests to breakfast and was very disappointed and embarrassed.

Excellent food. Excellent service. The coffee is really good. I usually put cream in my coffee but I was actually able to drink it black at this place. The young guy cooking definitely knows what he’s doing.

I adore the atmosphere of this restaurant. A lot of fun can be had there. The welcoming personnel and traditional country breakfast restaurant décor were present. The price is fair. The quantity was adequate. Food was adequate but not outstanding. They have parking right there.

Wonderful Mom and daughter operation. We enjoyed the Sothern hospitality as much as our breakfast. Not a very beg place, and it feels like everyone knew one another. Love these small restaurants that provide good food along with Loving service.

I love the vibe of this restaurant. It is a fun place to visit. The staff was cheerful and the decor was typical of a country breakfast eatery. Price is right. Quantities were good. Food was good, but not amazing. They have onsite parking.

The pancakes are ginormous! The grits and bacon were great! The gravy’s were all gone when we got there.

Since I was boycotting UberEats I thought we would order from a local place off another delivery site. We decided on breakfast from Battlefield. We were hoping for good food since they had a 4.5 star review here. Maybe I just caught them on an off day, maybe they got a new cook, maybe they were busy, maybe, maybe…..any way you look at it unfortunately we were extremely disappointed. After spending close to $50 for several meals what we received was definitely not the equivalent. On the website I ordered from there was not a place to leave a note, as 2 of my crew are highly allergic to onions, so I called to ask there not to be any in the food. They agreed but instead sent me the saddest looking plates ever. I’m not sure if they were offended or what. I ordered a corn beef hash omelet. I got a small portion of corn beef hash and 1 teeny tiny scrambled egg but no where near combined or made to look like an omelet, along with burnt home fries. Another order included the remainder of the burnt home fries as well as an over golden (extremely well done) dry pancake. Even the simple bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich was on over toasted bread. I love to give reviews to let places know we appreciate the hard work and service, along with great food. I hate to tell people of poor service but this time I could not let it slide. I do not want to turn any other patrons away as my experience may be just a one off from the norm but I did feel the need to share. From this one experience I will not eat from this place again!!!

A nice home cooking restaurant across from the Fredericksburg Memorial Cemetery (aka Battlefield). It is a small place and was filled with regulars on a Sunday morning, so when our group of 15 walked in we overwhelmed them. BUT they took care of us like champs and with smiles on their faces! The veggie omelet and grits were delicious and my son said the pancake was good too. Be warned – it is bigger than your face 🙂 All in all, this place is solid and I recommend it. #supportlocal
