I love coming here on the weekends and whenever I have the chance in before this places closes. The place is so cozy and the atmosphere is friendly as well. The menus for the food, drink, and coffee is all so easy to read, unlike the scary lists I would see at other cafes where it’s an overwhelming choice. This place is perfect to come to just to unwind by yourself or with friends to have a chat. I see many people here just to work and it really brings the motivation. My only complaint is that they close on Sundays and Mondays, along with their hours closing at 2pm. But it’s always a treat whenever I do come from time to time.

It is our favorite spot for two years now, I love the immigrants welcome sign they have in 3 languages on the window, it make us feel home every time we are there, the Vegan Reuben and grilled tempeh are our favorites on the menu.

Amazing cafe. Excellent service. Immaculate vibes inside. The food / beverages are unmatched in the Des Moines area. I am so happy that I found this place. I will definitely be returning when passing through area and would recommend that anyone to do the same. Ritual Cafe is a gem.

Well I just popped in and grabbed a tall double latte after the gal at the Allspice downtown spice shop told me about this coffee shop, and felt like I had time warped over to Portland, Oregon, or downtown Seattle when I walked in. Superb tasting coffee, perfect froth, and artistically finished. The ladies there were very friendly, and I loved the international flair. This is very cozy, and I learned they serve vegan food, even though I’m a carnivore, lol.

I don’t usually go to vegetarian restaurants, but this place is great. The staff are incredibly kind, the environment is super cozy, and it just feels like a good cafe to grab breakfast and coffee and do a crossword puzzle. Feels like a great bookclub spot.
