I recently visited Loco Espress Coffee House, a charming coffee shop located in the heart of Brainerd. The shop has a laid-back atmosphere and provides a great selection of coffee AND loose-leaf teas, which was a pleasant surprise. The baristas were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the shop has a unique and historic feel to it. I highly recommend this coffee shop to anyone who is looking for an enjoyable and unique experience! They also support local businesses with a boutique and where they source their coffee. Tried the espresso (great), the Black Rifle drip coffee (awesome), and a loose leaf tea (super). They also have cold brew flights to try different drinks! Highly popular.

A COFFE HOUSE THAT HAS IT ALL! When I walked in I was immediately blown away by the atmosphere that this place put off! It’s a warm cozy welcoming feeling filled with alot of eye catching items that for you to admire and a variety of miscellaneous things you can purchase. I ordered the Masala Chia Fog and it was AMAZING! I can’t wait till I’m in the area again to try more items from their menu!

The woman at the register greeted my friend, daughter and I. She showed us the long list of teas. I was amazed. I got wintergreen. My daughter got macaroons and my friend got hibiscus berry. Thanks for the lovely experience. All the best.

The flight of coffee was what I came for and what I got. Each cold brew had their own signature flavor, and each were very tasty. I would say my favorite was the Stella. For the boneyard you get to choose the additional flavor you wanted and I picked toasted marshmallow (tis’ the season after all). I would definitely come back not only for the coffee and food, but because the atmosphere was very opening. There were many different kinds of people enjoying their coffees and socializing. (Even got asked what we got to drink as he has never seen it before).

Honestly I’m less than impressed. The aesthetic of the shop is amazing and my husband and I were excited to come as we live out of town. The mocha in the coffee was so thick it was like drinking chocolate syrup. When I went inside and asked if the barista could stir it just a little more she looked annoyed, has an attitude, and told me that’s just how it is and no matter how much she stirred it nothing would happen and told me just to with my straw. When I looked annoyed she then offered to stir it where I declined. Disappointing $15 spent on subpar coffee.

I’m a regular and I love the girls here and they know me by name and are always so kind. However, it looked like they hired someone new and she acted like she did not want to be helping me. I asked about a food and what it contained, she rudely pointed to the sign which was not in a easy place to see and she rolled her eyes at me and a made a snotty look at me. I also asked a couple other questions and she treated me like I was dumb and acted like she didn’t have the time of day. I was just super disappointed as a regular because I look forward to see the happy faces and getting greeted by name. So being treated like I was a waste of time. I probably won’t go there for a while because I am 8 months pregnant and I don’t have patience to be treated that way. I hate leaving poor reviews because I work in customer service and I understand it could be difficult, however I was not being rude, I was simply asking questions about a couple new things and got treated like I was dumb.

Had an excellent experience when visiting Crow Wing and Brainerd, MN. It is in an awesome old train depot and the atmosphere when walking inside is incredible. I got the cold brew flight which was fun and delicious. Each one was a little different including normal cold brew, chocolate, carmel, white chocolate, and another you can get with a desired flavor shot. Food was also very good. We got a couple bagels and they were very soft with awesome cream cheese and jelly.

I have been going to Loco since the day they opened! I am still so obsessed with them, their coffee, and of course their cute & trendy clothing! Such a good experience and vibe inside their coffee shop in such a historic place! They always have a wide range of clothing and shoes available with sales often! Their food is perfect for when you’re on the go and their coffee is to die for! My favorite is a sugar free mocha latte hot! Their hot chocolate is always delicious too when you’re looking for something non caffeinated or for the kiddos! Would recommend to anyone!!!
