Old Armory BBQ in Decorah is home to slow smoked meats and homemade sauces. We prepare BBQ at its best! Established in 2012, Old Armory BBQ is a casual dining atmosphere with counter service. Smoked meats include beef brisket, pulled pork, baby back ribs, smoked turkey, chicken, and salmon. We offer vegetarian options as well as fun appetizers and burgers. You’ll definitely want to try our mac and cheese and our cornbread, each is unforgettable! All of our food items are made in house and served fresh daily. In addition to our normal offerings, we also prepare a special menu every week.

The food is awesome! My husband ordered the brisket platter ($22) with mac & cheese, coleslaw, and corn muffin. It was a huge amount of food. I ordered potato wedges and sweet pepper slaw, $3.50 each. We also ordered the apple pie ($4), which was served hot, with caramel drizzle and whipped cream. The mac had a slight smokey flavor that my husband enjoyed. He tried all 5 of the bbq sauces and liked the Chipotle the most. We both agreed that the corn muffin and apple pie were the best of each that we ever had at a restaurant. We will definitely be spreading the word in Minnesota how great this food is! We will be back!

Owner and his staff was very friendly. The food was amazing! Try his potatoe salad, baked beans, homemade pickles, fresh chips and a bite if 3 different sandwiches that were all equally yummy! I plan to visit every time we ride to Decorah.

Simple BBQ, lots of menu options, order at the counter, even offer a number of dessert options. Lots of homemade BBQ sauces and salad dressings. My husband and I really liked the cornbread muffins!

Holy Barbeque sauce Batman! We ordered a smoked turkey sandwich, a side of chips and brisket with the fixings. The turkey was sliced in thick slabs and was tender and juicy. The chips were crispy and tangy. Brisket was the same tender large portion as the sandwich. The options of bbq sauce was amazing. Very nice outdoor seating option. Service was fast and friendly. Definately a satisfying experience.

Great place for tasty food!! Not a lot of seating inside, but they have outdoor patio. You order your food in the line, then they bring it to you. All things we tried were very good. Smoked Salmon taco, and homemade chips with smoked onion dip…best chips ever! The Cuban, ham, bacon, pulled pork, and smoked bits…was super!! Comes with a mustard sauce, then more sauces on table… I liked the sweet on mine, complimented it well!

Unique BBQ joint in the heart of Decorah. Staff was very friendly and expanded how to order. Menu was full of BBQ options..I went with the pork nachos!! Food was served fast and was amazing! Great prices as well! We definitely will have to stop back when in town.
