I was advised to go to this restaurant for the shellfish and grit and I was not disappointed. Everything exceeded the expectations. The shellfish and grit paired with the Chardonnay were very delicious. We couldn’t resist the bourbon cheesecake either and caramel topping made it a perfect topping for our nice dinner.

Top notch restaurant! We were happily greeted and seated. Service was professional and food came out quickly. We got a little bit of everything from the soup du jour, seafood pot pie and pork chop. I saw a cheesecake go by so I had to order on myself and I’m glad i did! There’s was a caramel or dulce de leche shell on top – so good! Our 8 and 5 year old gobbled everything up as well.

Came for date night on a Saturday night. The place was fairly busy on both floors with large groups. Only one server tending to the downstairs which led to a long wait time for drinks and ordering. However, once we got our food it was worth the wait. I ordered a pea pasta with shrimp, crab, and clams with a butter sauce. Hands down best dish I’ve had from here.

Absolutely love this place! Excellent service, friendly, nice and clean, and hats off to the chef!! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our anniversary dinner here and the food was superb!! Hush puppy appetizer= YUMMY! Best we’ve ever had! The Cuban Pork with lime cilantro rice, black beans, slaw, & plantains was excellent. The Snapper with fresh vegetables, tasty with beautiful presentation.The atmosphere is simply elegant and serene. Highly recommend this lovely place for quality food, service, and atmosphere! 5 stars, without doubt!

Visited Schymik’s for brunch while I was in town for the holidays and I was incredibly impressed. They don’t offer an overwhelming selection, but instead take more basic dishes and make creative twists that are both beautiful and delicious creations, and made with fine ingredients. You can tell they have high standards of quality and the staff has talent and passion for what they do. It’s in the little details like this house made chive cream cheese and fresh spices… We really enjoyed the smoked salmon and bagels. Also, they offer a unique and untapped experience in Evansville – ticketed private meals, with fixed menus and a more intimate experience. I will be back to try one of those, but I highly recommended this spot and am glad to see Evansville with ideas like this. Our server/the manager, Herbert, was very pleasant and accommodating as well!

Delicious food ! Beautiful presentation ! Didn’t catch our waitresses name, she had short reddish hair. She was amazing and so sweet ! Food was phenomenal ! Everything was great quality. One of my new favorite places ! The blackened mahi mahi was incredible ! Thanks for the wonderful dinner!

I honestly was expecting a lot more from this place. I got the apple pork dish that I can’t remember the name of, and my table ordered the seafood pot pie and a couple other things. The menu was very limited, the food is all priced at a premium, but the taste was okay at best. And whoever thinks that you need to consume 2lbs of pork to feel luxurious may need to examine what a high end experience feels like. The seafood pot pie tasted like chicken, and at $33 or something that’s a bit unfortunate.
