I’ve been buying pizza at mama’s for a while and just have time to do this review. Yes Mama’s has very good pizza, meat lovers calzone! I always also buy the lasagna, they are so hard to find in Charlotte! I have to drive to Indian land. Good job Mama’s. Photos? I will add them next time !

I’ve been to Mama’s a total of 3 – 4 times. The first time I went I ordered their Alfredo & it was absolutely delicious as well as the 2nd time. However, last night the Alfredo had zero flavor had to doctor it up with Parmesan and garlic powder which made my stomach hurt. My mom got a big platter that looked really delicious as well but again had ZERO flavor. The sauce had a weird sweet almost tin taste to it. I also asked for extra garlic knots & never got them server was too busy. Got a slice of pizza as an appetizer (she said the slices were big) & it was very small and tasted old.

Never again!!!! Ordered 3 large pies… 1 plain, 1 with pepperoni and olives and 1 with peppers, mushrooms and onions on one side and pepperoni, sausage, bacon and peppers on the other and 6 garlic knots. Onions were barely cooked, peppers had zero taste, the sauce was bland and the crust was blah. The toppings looked like they had been thrown from across the room onto the pizza. I don’t know how else to describe it. All the toppings in one big pile. What a mess!! And not just the food. My first impression when going inside was ‘yuck’. Place just looked dirty and in disarray. The garlic knots weren’t garlic knots at all. They were dinner rolls… burnt dinner rolls to be exact, most likely sprinkled with garlic powder but you’d never know bc they had zero taste! I’ve known a few pizza makers over the years and they’ve all said that pizza making is in Art. This place gets a giant F in that class! It’s a sad day when the gas station on the opposite corner has better pizza than this pizzeria! And to top it all off, they were out of wings!

The lasagna tasted great, but the garlic knots had a fishy taste and I had to throw them out. This is my second time ordering from them via DoorDash. The first time the food was excellent.

I was surprised how good this slice of pizza always considering some of the bad reviews. The sauce had some taste (tangy sweet with some spices) really made this pizza. The crust had a bit of crisp but a tad airy and the cheese was good. With another few minutes in the over this could have need 5 stars. I will definitely be back.

Been going to Mama’s for over a year and the last two times we have ordered take out the pizza is meh. The sauce is bland and the pie is under cooked. I am not sure if this place has changed owners or skimping on the ingredients but they need to go back to their old recipes for their sauce and cook their pies a tad longer. The knots are NEVER warm always room temp but they give you hot marina sauce for them – odd… I’ll give them one more chance before I start using Lorenzo’s or Empire! At $22 for a pie and a dozen knots I expect better!

Mama’s meat lover pizza is one of the best pizzas around. The owner is from Sicily and it is not part of a chain. Every time we get it at the restaurant it is always hot. It is also very delicious with a good amount of all the meats.

Mama’s Pizza has great Italian food. Our family of 6 ordered various dishes and all of them were better than expected. The pasta was perfect and the creamy sauces were delicious. Our server was very attentive to our needs and helpful in choosing the right meals for all of us. Give this a place a try. You will not be disappointed.

Horrible experience. Asked for garlic knots four times. Four tables after ours got theirs and then to be told they ran out!?! Italian dressing dropped on the floor beside me all over my leg and purse. Served one meatball when we ordered two. Garlic bread was requested extra toasted… barely cooked. Used to be one if it favorite places to go… never again!
