There is always a story behind every good taco. The story behind ours goes back to 2010 in Austin, Texas where the mobile food truck scene was alive and thriving. That experience inspired us to bring our inspirations back with us to The Rock.
In 2012 we purchased what used to be a filling station, built in 1960, in the heart of Little Rock. The mission was to take that experience and mold it with inspiration from cantinas in Mexico. The designs were carefully selected to bring guests We revamped the entire space and when you enter The Fold you are met with bright colors, vivacious dishes and a staff excited to make your family and friends our family and friends.

I have heard many people tell me to give this restaurant a try and finally did. I ordered an appetizer of Guacamole ($9) and I enjoyed it I just felt like the size of it was more like a side. I ordered three tacos: Mrs Green ($5), Diablo Shrimp ($5), and The weekly chef special which was Blackened Shrimp ($6). When you order 3 tacos, you get an included side. I chose Cilantro Lime Rice. The tacos were great but the shrimp were not marinated or anything so they didn’t taste very flavorful but overall still good. The only complaint again is the size, the tacos are served on a small corn tortilla making them small for tacos and price. I thought the cilantro lime rice was amazing, and was sized right. The service was great. My total before my tip was $27.66. I don’t think I will go back here again because it didn’t feel like a great bang for my buck but at least the place is super cute!

I love this place. Food and drinks never disappoint. Hands down, they have the best margaritas in town. I have yet to have anything I did not like here. Staff is always great, and they even remember my food allergies. This is one restaurant I can go to and know I won’t have a food allergy reaction. We go here to eat at least once a week.

We will be back! I normally hate green tomatillo-based salsa, but I think it might have even been better than the red salsa!

I was excited to try this place with all the good reviews but was sorely disappointed. I had the cheese and jalapeño tamales with cilantro rice and black beans, chips and guacamole, and lemonade.

Great tacos! Queso was excellent and the drinks especially peach margarita and jalapeño margaritas were great! Service was pretty good.

The habanero queso was so creamy and not packed with spice but packed with the flavor of the habanero with a little heat.

My absolute favorite mexican restaurant in Little Rock. Ask for Josh as your server. He’s the best. A few of my favorite items: achiote chicken taco, queso, red salsa, steak burrito, bison burrito or quesadilla.. really you can’t go wrong with anything here.

Listen, the nachos are amazing! I had them without meat and my son had them with bison. We both enjoyed it immensely. We started with the Mexican street corn dip…DELICIOUS to say the least. And our server, Monte, was very attentive. The atmosphere was great and I will return! Great vegan and vegetarian options!!!

If you’re looking for some great Mexican cuisine, The Fold is definitely the place to go. They have a really cool decor inside, and the cheese dip was delicious. However, I thought it could’ve used a tad more salt. The bison burrito with the red sauce and cheese on top was amazing, though. The staff was friendly and attentive, and parking is available across the street. Overall, I had a great experience at The Fold and would definitely recommend it to others.
