I am very disappointed, the last cpl of times I’ve ordered my food has been sub par. Today I ordered pulled chicken sandwich there was barely enough meat to cover the bread, honestly a VERY thin layer. All I could taste was bread and sauce. Its really disappointing they used to be really good today the only thing good was my side salad.

I haven’t been to this place since 2016 and let me say this place still taste very good. The banana pudding is a must have. I would have given it five stars but the greens had too much vingear in it. Once I took it out the vinegar and ate it for left over it was wonderful. Everything else was great. I had the Meaty dinner and my daughter had the one meat and 2 vegetables. Safe to say she loves the turkey, the Mac, and banana pudding.

Best BBQ in Jacksonville. Love the smokehouse chicken platter with the baked beans. The corn nuggets are to die for, and the fried okra is amazing. The service is wonderful and everyone is super friendly.

Collards were extremely nasty and tough. They were under cooked and in some kinda vinegar spicy sauce which was also nasty. I wasn’t impressed with the corn bread souffle either. The fries were seasoned but no taste. The waitress who looks like a Spanish lady was extremely nice and very customer friendly. I just hope they can improve the food quality.

The food here is really good. The meat is very well smoked and very well seasoned. The only reason that I am not giving Monroe’s 5 stars on their food is that: I order 3 wings and ribs AND got 3 half a wings (see pictures). I found that to be misleading, especially for the price.
