champ was close to getting 4 stars. pros first. the crust is good, not great. the ingredients are quality. the chicken pizza is really tasty. good sauce and cheese. cons. too much crust!!!! we have pieces that are literally half crust(see photo). not enough pepperoni, i fact hardly any. and the crust was under cooked. so overall i would definitely go back. i would request to have the toppings cover more of the dough. and ask for more pepperoni. employees were very friendly. asking if i want to tip is awkward. man, i bet sick of that!

This is damn good pizza. Tasty twists on the classics and some great signature recipes. Quality ingredients and very well shaped pizza. Halves are always perfectly split and crust is always really consistent.

Definitely great crust. New location, but same dedication to quality and customer service as their other 4 stores. Consistent toppings and the ability to load more on if wanting to pay for extra. Friendly employees. Clean store. Its a must try. You will be back to “try” every week!

2 out of 10 at best, I think there’s a cheese shortage at this place. They use the small cheap pepperonis. My pizza lacked cheese BIG time. don’t go with a bill over $20 they won’t accept it. Wish I knew that prior. Pietros and round table by far better pizza for the price! will NOT be returning ever again, don’t waste your money. Round Table or Pietros down the street BY FAR better!

I hope whomever is monitoring this can confirm; I saw Champ had vegan cheese and got so excited that I didn’t inquire further. I just ordered a pizza with it online and requested it be fully vegan. Only later did I notice the website talks about “buttermilk and parmesan crust.” Fortunately, it appears that they do make dough without those ingredients. I’ve been vegan for so long that even the slightest big of lactose destroys my GI tract and I was perfectly fine after eating nearly an entire large pizza by myself. There are a lot of vegan pizza options in Portland. This one is by far the best. Thank you!

I am from NY and I can say that these guys do it right. They have the best cheese. Authentic cheese. NY style. It keeps us going back for more. And the crust is to die for. I always start at the crust, it’s that good. Definitely recommended. This is our #1 go to place now. They do it right and it arrives so hot at the house.
