The food was good. Service was so so had to ask for silverware after we got or food, they server came back a few minutes later and gave us plastic ware that was flimsy. The server told us that they had not clean silverware.

Great food, great staff, amenities leave a little to be desired.

Located in a strip mall in Bastrop off the highway, the restaurant had very slow service. It took 10 minutes to get a water and place order, and almost 30 to get queso and tortillas. The staff seem like teenagers at most. NOT OK. The food was mediocre at best, without any authenticity and seemed bland to everyone at our table with different dishes. The prices were fair (if mediocre food has a price), and the restaurant seemed clean and about 50% full at 11am. We will not go back – there is too much GOOD Mexican food around to waste time on mediocre service and taste. Sorry, not sorry.

The food was gross, greasy, and cheaply made….the service was not it, kids running the place and not paying attention so customers are piled up at the door waiting to be seen while they are talking in the back. This place used to be great before the owner passed, it has really gone down hill….it’s a shame to see, this place has so much potential.

We were there for a birthday party of 20 people. we had one waiter who couldn’t even keep up with water and tea, not to mention chips. The food was good but the waiter had no back up what so ever. (PLUS) He was waiting on other tables as well. I don’t falt the waiter because he didn’t have any help, so when it came to paying, they only would let you spilt the check 4 ways, we all came as couples. Never mentioned anything when we ordered. Never encountered this before at any restaurant. So we told him about payment and he said ok let me write it down and then he never came back. We spoke to the manager, who was not much help either. So after almost 2 3/4 hours, we paid our portion and left while they were still trying to figure it out.

This used to be a decent restaurant, however this visit was very underwhelming.

We were passing through and found this place. I got Mom #2. It had a taco, enchilada, and guacamole. The taco meat was very favorable. I got a sour cream chicken enchilada, and it was excellent. My husband got beef enchiladas. He said they were very good. Their queso was ok. Their salsa wasn’t our favorite. They had good chips. The guacamole was good, too.

Bland atmosphere and lukewarm Mexican food. To add insult to injury we ordered drinks and an appetizer off the HH menu, specifically – the supreme nachos. The waitress asked which meat we’d like and listed out the options, so we went with beef fajita. Right when we sat down, we asked for the HH menu, and it was from that menu we ordered our nachos as they were priced at just around $5 or $6. – not too shabby. However when the bill came she rang us up for a regular priced nacho plate at $16. The waitress sends over the manager after we pointed out the mistake and we explained to the manager that we ordered from the HH menu and were charged inadvertently. She understood and went off to correct our bill (so we thought). Instead, she sends the waitress back over to tell us they would be charging the full amount because “we didn’t tell her we wanted nachos from the HH menu”. When she knew full well, as upon ordering, we pointed to the nachos on the HH menu. Even if we did pay a smaller amount for the nachos they would still have been disappointing, the cheese was barely even melted. It was just room temperature cheese and beans.

One of the best margaritas in town, if not the best. I love the sweetness and the fresh lime juice (squeezed daily!). The giant blackberry was a treat in itself. Salsa was ok but the chips were super crunchy. Fun staff with great drink recommendations.
