Cheba Hut is a toasted sub concept that has been curing munchies since its start in 1998. Founder Scott Jennings decided to showcase the harmony between great tasting food and … well, a very specific counter-culture. The menu features over 30 signature sub sandwiches, as well as a variety of Rice Krispy treats, salads and munchies. Most locations also offer craft beer bars that feature local beers from neighborhood breweries. What really sets Cheba Hut apart, though, can only be experienced in our shops. Super tasty subs that can be made vegan – that means I’ll be back. Nice decor and excellent service, friendly staff that helped me figure out how to make my order vegan. Not being in the “scene,” my friends and I were a little puzzled about the whole toasted thing. We’re not hip on the lingo, man. But eventually we figured it out. Although I don’t know why Cher was painted on the wall along with other notable figures in the “scene.” Why am I putting “scene” in quotation marks? I guess cuz I’m really that old. Anyway, I hope they do well here and stick around. I can always go for a toasted vegan sub sandwich. And you can too.

This place was absolutely a 10 for me. Food was creative, fresh, and delicious. I got the Kali Mist sandwich and blue raspberry kool-aid with the miss VIckis Salt and Vinegar chips. Immediately I loved 2 signature items which are the garlic herb toasted bread and the parmesan cheese shake.Apparently this place is a national food chain/franchise. Youtube it for Aesthetics, The weed theme is prominent but surprisingly not a negative factor but good for everyone.

This place was super good . The soda machine was down, but this just led us to learn they have amazing brewed tea and lemonade. The Italian or grape ape were great choices. Give it a shot, it shouldn’t disappoint. They even have a bar!

Was really excited for a CHeBA hut coming to Milwaukee, sadly a takeout order went poorly today and couldn’t reach anyone over the phone about it. Someone was laughing as they answered the phone then I was hung up on. Instead of jalapeño chips got original sun chips (?!? The worst substitution possible) and ordered the garlic bread for all 3 subs (which is the best part in my opinion) and got all regular bread 🙁 very disappointed

Had a great time at this location, got there just before 5 and was greeted and helped right away. One of the team members who took my order also made me a drink at the bar as well, and struck up great conversation. The entire staff was very friendly and efficient. My sub tasted amazing!! They really made the sandwich with love and I can say for sure I’ll be returning!

Horrible service. I ordered online through their website. The food came an hour after it was picked up for delivery and when I received the food it was made wrong. I called the store, they don’t answer most times, and when I did get through, the woman was rude and seemed to think I was in the wrong. I ordered a Magic Mushroom sub that comes with pineapple but instead of oineapple it had banana peppers. I informed her of this and stated, “the magic mushroom comes with bell pepper and pineapple” I said yes but it came with banana peppers and not pineapple. I am at work and unable to go to the store so I asked for a credit, just a credit since they made the sub wrong but I was told they can’t do that. They can’t credit someone for their own mistakes? Awful service, terrible attitudes. I will never go back.

Got a tuna salad, as a salad, and it was very liquid-like, I do not feel that tuna salad should be pourable. Way too much mayo and hardly any tuna, some few visible pieces of onion and possibly celery. When I called to ask for a replacement I was told, “that’s how we make it.” The actual salad was fine, but I needed protein and all that mayo made it very salty.
