Wow, this place was totally empty when we arrived and only had 2 other tables come in after us; however, they do seem to do pretty good business in the drive through. Decor is old, outdated and dark. Took about 5 minutes for someone to come take our order and looked pretty put out that he was having to do anything. They have a salad bar area, but was not available the night we were there (thursday). Food did come out fairly quickly, but was mediocre. I had popcorn shrimp that tasted like the oil needed to be changed in the fryer. The cheese sticks were served with Ranch and marinara – pretty good, although a little skinny. Loved the hushpuppies! The outside of the building looks great- nice flower beds, parking lot fairly clean. Doesn’t help when the employees are taking smoke breaks on the front steps though. Not a place we will be returning to anytime soon.

We visited Catfish King for dinner. When we arrived, the staff was waiting to serve us. The dining room was not too busy and there was plenty of seating available. The food was good and the staff was happy to provide us with all needed condiments.

They should be embarrassed. Charging high prices for basic, flavorless, thin dry supposedly pieces of fish. Was more less the fried part and very little fish meat. Couldn’t even push a plastic spoon handle through so I could make a pouch for hot sauce to choke it down and add flavor but nope. Literally no flavor. I’d have given no stars for this platter if it was possible.

This place is not what it used to be. The all you can eat is gone, and the salad bar. Nothing really good to say about this place except my fish was cook fresh. My fries and hush puppies was cold. Two thumbs down…

Saturday June 17th, 8:30pm. Waited over ten minutes in drive through. Girl at window still taking orders before and after she took my money. Talked with her for a minute and insures me that my fish just came out it’s hot. Ok, maybe that’s why it’s still sitting there. After five minutes she handed me a bag with loop warm fish and fries. The beans was hot and coleslaw was cold. Next time I will check my food while at the window instead of down the street. I did call back when I got home and the female on the other end was like OK.

We went thru the drive thru, the lady was nice but the wait was terrible. Only one car in front of us and we were waiting for 20 minutes. The fish was really salty that day but normally it’s good.

It was a horrible visit we waited in line for 30 minutes when we received our food their where no plastic wear, condiments, the whole order was wrong. The one small piece of fish we received was the size of a shad an burnt to a Krispy. The chicken was undercooked an everything else was cold. So we call and start to head back . The person on the phone was rude an when we got to the establishment again the doors were locked before time . So we had to wait in line again. The Man snatched the sack from my husband’s hand an said I cooked this myself there’s nothing wrong with it . So we proceed to explain the issues with our order. He said whatever an closed the window. The slings it back open said give me your card an refunded -$ cost of our meals he did not even offer to fix it or make it right an never on e apologized for the mess up. I was truly appalled by the behavior, the treatment as a custom, an the quality of food. Catfish King used to be a quality place to dine carry out with excellent employees. That is no longer the case, an it saddens me because I grew up eating at this place but not. Anymore.

The food is always good but the cook came out and screamed at me about my order!! I ordered a catfish sandwich with no dressing, just fry with the veggies. When I confirmed my order the girl at the window went back to the kitchen to make sure my sandwich had no tartar sauce. The cook came out and told me I should have said no sauce when I ordered and her words “it’s a little late now!” The poor girl at the window apologized and said she couldn’t
