The food is amazing. The sauce, the seasoning and the attention to the process, has created wonderfully amazing food at this establishment. And let’s face it when the option is fried okra or french fries, that should tell you all you need to know. And for the record, it’s okra every time.

The 3 stars is a grading on the burger, not the wings. My next review will be on their wings. The jumbo burger was more bun than burger. The bun was either old, or stale. The “Jake’s sauce” was an extremely sweet BBQ sauce. Personally I wasn’t a fan. The atmosphere is nice, and I would imagine the wings are pretty decent. Should’ve known better than to order a burger at a wing place. I will be back, as this place has a pretty good reputation…

Immediately greeted upon walking in. The man working behind the desk was super nice, didn’t make me feel rushed when ordering and offered to help with any questions I might have. I got a burger and the street potatoes, and both were excellent. I would recommend calling ahead to order or plan to wait for about 10 or so minutes after ordering since it is all made fresh. 10/10 would recommend.

This legacy is suffering honestly. It’s so different from how it was in the beginning. I called 5 times yesterday trying to order and the phone rang and rang each time until the voice-mail came on. This was my favorite place to eat in jackson at one point. I would drive 30 minutes from milan just to get some. Now the wings are scrawny. They’re only open 3 days a week and answer the phone when they dont feel like being ‘s I rekon.

From Memphis – Jackson, TN. I’ve Never Had Food This Great and Then The Price You Pay For Such Good Quality. Me and My Boyfriend Went To Jackson This Weekend For One Night Only. Our First Stop & Only Food Stop Was @ Saucy Jake’s! We Didn’t Even Have To Go Out For Anymore Food Because The Portions We Had Was So Filling, and Still Had Food Left Over For The Next Day. We’ve Already Told Our Family And Friends Back In Memphis Abt This Place. Just an Hour and So Odd Minutes Away For Such Great Quality Food. Will Definitely Be Back. And The Philly Steak Egg Rolls/ W Plenty Of Cheese, Exquisite! Best I’ve Ever Had. Hands Down!

Got a burger this past Thursday for dinner. Wasn’t happy with it. It was dry and crusty, I asked for everything on it and I got one little tomato 2 sliver of onion and a small piece of lettuce. I told him about it and he didn’t care one little bit. That’s not customer service!!!!!

Saucy Jake’s Street Food pricing was exorbitant, making it unaffordable for many diners. The high prices did not align with the quality of the food or the overall dining experience. It felt like an unnecessary and unjustified expense, leaving us with a sense of disappointment and frustration.

The food is great. But it doesn’t seem like they like being a business anymore. No one ever picks up the phone. No one’s ever happy inside of there. They’re never open anymore. Same cycle every restaurant in town goes through…. Passive aggressive response. Typical behavior. Flexing on customers gotta be the most unprofessional way to respond to a complaint.
