I really look forward to coming here whenever I’m in the area. As a professional driver, it’s very appreciated to have something like this connected to a truck stop considering all of the other poor food options we have. My go-to order is the flour taco dinner; I usually get one of each meat (chicken, steak, ground beef). I love that each of the meats are seasoned really well and I would have to say the chicken is my favorite. The salsa and chips are also tasty, as well as the churros. I will definitely continue to come back here whenever I’m near!

What a joke! Four tacos for $14?? These tacos are so small and underfilled, they should be $1-2 max! Do not go here if you’re hungry. I didn’t open the bag until I got back to my hotel…. I was so disappointed!!!

The LENGUA is cooked properly, peeled and seasoned well, ingredients are fresh loved the grilled jalapeno and onion… Would’ve given 5 stars but portions are small and avocado is $2.25 and other restaurants only charge $.50 to $1.00 to have this added to your taco. Easy access drive thru connected to gas station.

Wow. Freaking good. Very surprised. Inside of a gas station. I originally stopped for the restroom. I saw the food counter and then smelled the food. What finally convinced me to try it were Mexicans getting some too. Very good, authentic. In the middle of nowhere, a rural intersection. Never judge a book by it’s cover I guess. I’ll stop again next time I pass through.

I ordered a chicken burrito. They gave it to me wrapped in foil and sandwich paper in a bag with some hot sauce and napkins. When I got to my vehicle and opened the bag, the napkins were soaked and the bag was wet inside. I thought one of the little plastic cups of hot sauce leaked. When I unwrapped the burrito I realized all the leakage was because they cut the burrito in half like it was a wrap or a sub sandwich. I went back inside and asked for it to be redone because burritos aren’t supposed to be served cut because the ingredients typically leak. They said “that’s how we make them.” Because of my age, the fact I’ve lived in Texas, Arizona, and other places around the country, and travel constantly, I eaten (and made) way more burritos than any of the people I encountered at Ta Canijo. Until this day I’ve never had a burrito served cut in half. Never. They did give me a full refund, but I was hungry and would’ve preferred properly made food.

Brought home dinner. ordered 3 chicken tacos, got 3 steak. ordered 2 pork tacos, they are inedible as the tortillas are slimy and dripping with grease. like the elotes and horchata though. reheating leftover lasagna for dinner.
