Had a wonderful lunch at The Mitt! If you love family owned places this is the perfect spot for you. Owned by a lovely couple, with help from their family, The Mitt is a cozy and welcoming environment. The food was fantastic, the rice extremely flavorful and many options to add to the tacos to customize it was great. Honestly I would go back just for those stone ground chips and queso. Their support for local artists is also heart warming with cute merchandise out on the counter. I will be going back to test their soon I mean who doesn’t want a churro waffle??

Hard to find good Mexican food, coming from Tucson AZ. Stumbled upon this spot only open one day a week and fell in love. Seems they typically do catering, hence the one-day-a-week opening. In a commercial office building, not a typical restaurant location, so I was a little skeptical at first. Very friendly and courteous owner and the food was spot on. Had 3 tacos with all different meats, rice and beans, guac, and chips and couldn’t be happier. I’ll for sure be back and go for the hottest sauce next time.

It always smells delicious before I even walk in here! Their soft chicken tacos are the best. Their salsa (mild, medium, hot) are always fresh and a nice way to kick up your lunch. Service is fast and prices are reasonable. I heard they offer breakfast too and I’m dying to try it.

Holding their first weekend service today, we were able to finally partake in the long awaited Mitt experience! What I like most about this little shop (aside from the Big Tex Burrito) is the love put into the interior and making it feel special. You really feel right at home in the cozy cafe-style space.
