We ordered the Spirit Lake Fire Burger, the ,chili burger, and the Kenzie fries. The fries were EXCEPTIONAL! Cooked in garlic and butter with shredded parmesan on top they were absolutely worth the visit. The fire burger was good. The fried jalapenos were awesome and the sauce was also tasty. Although my burger was medium and still pink it was somehow VERY dry and lacked flavor. Both patties had this same issue and we’re unfortunately the low point of the visit. The chili was good. It tasted home made but had the flavor of Costco chili powder. I don’t think it was a turn off but beware if your sensitive to the taste of chili powder.

Terrific burgers and great fries (thin and crispy). Service was a little slow because they’d only been open in this location for about a week. That’s okay, the waitresses were very friendly and the burgers are worth the wait. Highly recommend.

Wow! Been meaning to stop here a long time now. The only reason it worked out this time is due to the fact I got off work early enough but barely in time, thus only 4 star for closing at 3pm.

Wanted to try a new spot and ventured up to spirit lake. Messy’s was about the only place open. Pretty old school burger place but good. Like that they used fresh meat instead of frozen patty’s would come again if we came back to town. Bummer there were no bathrooms here but ♂️

Worth the drive. Enjoyed a Blue Burger. Wife had a BBQ burger (she finished before me). Kids had small cheese burgers. Crinkle fries were good and I don’t normally like crinkle cut fries.

i got the blue cheese burger with fries. she got the mushroom swiss burger with onion rings. our burgers were amazing and definitely messy. fries were pretty good. onion rings were better. fry sauce was pretty decent. ranch was just meh. 2 burgers with 2 sodas came to about $25. not terrible at all considering how good the food was. i strongly wish they had fountain pop instead of cans. definitely a dive Guy Fieri would appreciate. limited seating and parking but worth the trip from CdA.
