UPDATE 6/9/23: The owners of this restaurant deserves all the success. I tried them again and everything was perfectly delicious. They even threw in some free stuff and a discount! I really appreciate this level of service and care. I highly recommend this place!!

I ordered a huge feast from this place, and all of the items I got were great. It’s only available for pick up or delivery. The prices are great. You’ll forget about Chipotle or other chain places after you have this food. I tried the slow roasted chicken bowl with sour cream, brown rice, cheese, corn salsa, and black beans, the elote corn salad, Mexican cornbread, churro cookie, peanut butter cookie, and tres leches cake.

Ordered a bunch of items and was extremely satisfied with portion sizes, freshness of the ingredients and taste! The guac was absolutely delicious and the s’mores cookie was the star of the show. Great flavors in the bowls too. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Will definitely order from here again!

My coworker suggested that we pick up food from here one day, because she noticed they had vegan items! (how could I resist?) I got a Vegan Cowgirl Bowl with white rice, black beans, corn, romaine, and salsa roja. We were a little confused regarding the entrance to the location, but that’s just us really (directional challenges). Regardless, we were united with our food and had a pleasant experience purchasing it. The bowl was really fresh, like incredibly so, and the tofu tinga was the star, of course. I loved the whole experience.

I finally got to try The Hungry Cowgirl today and really enjoyed it. I got a bowl with steak and chicken; I think one would be plenty but I just wanted to try both! I have a slight preference for the chicken but both were nicely cooked, tender, and not all dried out. I would personally love a black bean protein option, just a suggestion! My food was made correctly, including my request for half lettuce/half rice. They even sent a sample of a new salad, which was really cool. I haven’t gotten to try it yet but I’ll send feedback once I do. My one wish would be to have more pico in the bowl, but I didn’t even ask for that, so I imagine they could fulfill that request. And next time, I’m definitely trying a cookie.

The food was amazing! Fresh, delivered quickly, and really tasty. I ordered for a picnic for me and some of my friends and they got everything right. Awesome branding and a great story behind the brand. Great new text mex bowl option that definitely beats Chipotle from a value, quality, and flavor standpoint.

I ordered the carne asada with extra chicken – so much food for the price!! The chips are also great. I am from Houston and would give this a solid 9/10

I was excited for this, but very disappointed with my food. To start, all of the food was missing that “something” — it was all very plain and none of it was dressed up. I would have loved some more acid or fresh herbs to dress up what was clearly the most basic ingredients. The chips were whole wheat, which was fine, but not my vibe. The salsa roja tasted like old el paso and while the salsa verde suited me it too tasted like it was from a jar. The chicken in the roasted chicken bowl was a cumin bomb — it over powered the chicken completely. And lastly, the esquites/corn salad was not for me — it was too creamy (too much mayo). I only had a few bites before throwing it out. The idea of this place was good and the price was good, but I would rather just get Chipotle or Baby Loves Tacos next time.

Impressive delivery for a new restaurant! Food arrived fast and hot. Chicken was cooked to perfection and all ingredient preparation complemented it well. Guacamole could use some jalapeño/lime but still solid. The Hibiscus Lemonade might be the best in Pittsburgh, phenomenal.
