Celebrating a birthday with friends and spending well over $300 turned out to be a mistake. We had a bad experience from beginning to end, so much so we will not go back & this restaurant used to be my fave. Oh well the crème brûlée was the only good part.

Now, to be clear…we arrived on Easter, reserved seats for dinner. I know the regulars in front of house and back of the house were probably off for the holiday. My ex boyfriend and I dined here often in the past and it was ALWAYS amazing. We were prepared for a treat. That was not what we received. That being said: My foie gras was amazing. My salmon entree was just ok. It was cooked to rare specifics as requested. My sides items were not edible. My Jasmine rice was sticky and unflavored the cucumber salad had so much vinegar, it took your breath away..not in a good way. My grandsons tagliatelle had so much caraway seed flavor it was over powering. The grandma’s cookies were greasy, flat and uninspiring.

Our party of 6 dined here last year and had a wonderful dining experience so we came again this year. Our dinner last night was excellent. Cocktail and wine offerings are very good. I had the wedge salad and prime 14 ounce NY Strip steak. The wedge was delicious and the steak was outstanding. Most everyone else in our group had the beef tenderloin and raved about them. My wife had the salmon and said it was superb. I was the only one that had a desert, the warm chocolate cake, and it was great! Overall the service was very good, our food cooked perfectly and the atmosphere was great. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I made the mistake of not securing a reservation for Valentine’s Day. When I called, of course they were booked, but the hostess was kind enough to tell me that the bar had 12 seats, and they opened at 5:00 with 1st come, 1st serve. We showed up at 5:00 and got a seat at the bar. Tate was our bartender, did a fantastic job with our drinks, and made us feel at home. He was busy but made sure we had what we needed, as well kept our drink full. There was plenty of parking with handicap parking available. The outside appearance was nice, and the landscape was kept up nice. The interior was clean as well as the bathrooms. Glasses, plates, and silverware were all clean. The food was phenomenal!! I had Beef Tartare and Duck Breast both for the first time and was amazingly delicious. I will be back, and I do recommend this restaurant. Thanks for the great first-time experience.

We loved it so much, we went to another one of Patrick’s restaurants called Opal and then again to Langdon’s our last night in Charleston. Everything from apps to deserts were incredible. You can tell a lot of time was spent crafting these dishes. To say they were complex and perfectly paired is an understatement. Eric’s service and suggestions were top-notch. We will be back again and again and again…

I really enjoyed dinner here. Service was great, server was attentive and the manager walked around as well. We tried the steak with lobster and the duck breast. There was a soft shell crab over polenta appetizer special going on, so we tried that too. Very delicious! Great ambiance for a romantic or celebratory dinner.
