Restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. Servers were friendly and helpful. Chicken mole was very good, California Enchiladas were okay but tasted mostly like cheese. The Pollo Special was enjoyed as were the beef soft tacos. Price was acceptable for the size of our group. Would eat here again and suggest to others.

The food has always been exceptional here. The ham flauta and cheese enchiladas are always my favorite. The food is always fresh and very authentic. If you have never had a jumbo taco try the King Taco which is as big as a dinner platter and will even come smothered with queso or chili con carne for eating with a fork. They also have a nice selection of house made margaritas. Try the jalapeño margarita, its spicy but not overly hot and it is not made everywhere. The staff is very friendly with a family feel in the dining area. The front entrance has a variety of authentic Mexican goods including sandals, hats and even real vanilla from Mexico. If ever driving through Newton this hidden jem is worth a stop!

The food was horrible that the mile had no meat it was covered in Chile All it needed was cornbread The beans were tasteless the taco meat tasted of nothing but season horrible horrible overseasoned tasted more like chili powder than meat I don’t recommend it not one bit I drove 30 minutes to go eat there and regret every minute of it ordered a margarita I’d have been better off or in a margarita at Spangles Yes I said spangles much much better Margaritas it’s Bengals again don’t recommend it Don’t go The tortilla for the bean tostada was burnt

Acapulco Mexican Restaurant was a delight. We are from New Mexico and love our Mexican food. We stopped in Newton, KS, on our way home. We were kind of leery of what we would find. To my surprise, the restaurant was decorated very realistically Mexican. The food was real Mexican, not Tex-Mex (no offense intended). The food came out quick, hot and absolutely delicious. My husband and I enjoyed every bite!

Solid options here for vegetarians, servers are friendly and helpful answering questions about dietary restrictions. I would not have chosen this place if a family member hadn’t told me they had a vegetarian menu – I did not see any vegetarian menu on the website so I would have never known. They have a gluten-free menu as well.

We came here after a nice day at the truck show we are all from the newton area. It was my first time eating here i absolutely loved it Food was awesome coronaritas are amazing. Harley was our waitress, poor girl was having a rough night but she was such a sweetheart and did a very good job waiting on us. Food, Drinks and Harley deserve 5 stars.
