OMG the Golden Shrimp was divine! Friendly and attentive service. So much delicious food! My adult beverage, the Hula Hula, was very refreshing and my husband enjoyed his sake. We ordered the House Special for 2 so we were able to try a bunch of different items. We were the last couple in and had a table/grill to ourselves. We will definitely bring family and friends with us next time.

Very disappointed in my meal last night. I have previously ordered the Golden shrimp combo and loved it. Last night, same choice but not same result. There were 4 of us and all ordered the shrimp. Mine was first off the grill and shrimp was under cooked. Others remained on the grill for extra minute and were fine. My shrimp were put back on and under dome for additional 5 min. When dome removed they were moved to middle section and left in area honey chicken was prepared and shrimp not only now over cooked, golden sauce coagulated, it was very sweet.

I wanted to like this place. However I must say all is not lost. The fried rice was really good. The golden shrimp was lacking salt. The steak and veggies were not good. Everything was lacking seasoning. I know we can’t get Kampi back, but I’m sure this place can do much better. I will give them another chance, but please, focus on the Quality and seasoning it will make a Huge difference in our Return. Staff was really nice, chef made a a slight mistake and the spatula flew towards my little one. Things happen and they made it right. So my review is solely on the Food. Enjoy what you Eat!

We sooooo wanted this to be close to our old Kampai. Salad and soup was lame. Shrimp and steak tasted okay. But the chef cooked everything so fast our food was piled on our too small of a plate. I ordered an extra egg sauce for my filet and it was the first thing he cooked so it sat on my plate. How goofy was that!? We won’t be back.

End of an era. The food was awful. Very greasey no flavor. Sushi wasn’t fresh. Afraid to eat it. And a $14 glass of chardonnay???? Used to be our favorite. Sadly won’t be back. Hope they get their act together.

197.00 dollars to eat in a clapped out restaurant that’s been taken thru the ringer…garlic and golden shrimp was still good , chef was good , just way over priced and felt like you c were eating at a half gutted restaurant..cook county residents are definitely over taking my old home town. truly a shame

We have been here twice lately and both experiences were worth sharing. Our first visit we were the only people in the restaurant so the personal interaction was really fun. Our kids were surprised and a bit scared by the large flame , which we laugh about often. Now they look forward to it and the onion volcano. Our second visit was valentine’s day and the place was packed but we still had the same attention and fun time. I am a bit addicted to the garlic shrimp, so amazing! I am so glad that we have such a fun and delicious place so close to home!
