Our party of 8 stopped in here on a Saturday night and were able to get a table upstairs relatively quickly. Our server, Trent, did a great job managing our group. He was polite, friendly, and very accommodating. When we ordered oysters for our appetizer, he brought out the charbroiled instead of raw (my mistake), but he quickly offered to bring us out what we wanted. All our food came out quick and was very good. The Fried Alligator was very tender, and the Bayou Frog Legs (tasting like chicken wings, in case your apprehensive to try them) were flavorful and delicious. Even though I did not mean to order the charbroiled oysters, I did try one and really enjoyed their flavor. Absolutely a happy accident and something I’d be willing to order in the future!

I really enjoyed the food here! I ordered the stuffed shrimp and the crab cakes and they were delicious! The sauce that they smother the crab cakes in has to be from Heaven The restaurant is conveniently located on Bourbon St so being about to observe the people and listen to the music while eating was a plus. I took a lot of my meal to go and it was even better the next day!! My brother ordered the meal that came with 4 items (gumbo, jambalaya, etouffee, and red beans and rice) and it was delicious as well!

I have mixed feelings about this place. However, the food was excellent. It was nice being able to hear the live bands playing on Bourbon St, but then you had to smell the marijuana and cigarettes from the street. What I did expect to be better was the service. We were greeted by an incredibly friendly hostess and about a 5-minute wait for a table. Once at our table, we waited for 10 minutes for our waiter to take our drink orders. It was then another 10 minutes for our drinks to arrive. We ordered our food at that time. We ordered two apps and the entrée. The entrée was served before the appetizers. We had empty drinks for most of the meal and sat for another 20 minutes waiting for the bill. Overall I would eat here again because of the food quality and for me that’s 75% of the experience.

We saw the menu and thought it would be a great place to have dinner. The greeters we very friendly. Service was a little slow due to them changing shifts. The crab claws were very tasty. However, it went downhill from there. I ordered the blackened shrimp, which came with jambalaya and veggies. The jambalaya was very mushy and flavorless. The shrimp lacked flavor as well. My husband had the creole pasta. The pasta was way overcooked. Would I return probably not

Pier 424 Seafood Market is a treasure trove of authentic NOLA cuisine. The Chicken Andouille Sausage Gumbo was an explosion of flavors – smoky, hearty, and utterly divine. The Boiled Crawfish were perfectly seasoned, transporting us to the heart of the bayou. “Taste Of New Orleans” was an extraordinary culinary journey, filled with iconic dishes expertly prepared. Surprisingly, the cheeseburger stood out with its juicy, beefy goodness. The Jambalaya was a delicious medley of savory elements, and the Red Beans And Rice were comfort food at its finest – creamy, rich, and nostalgic. Pier 424 is a must-visit for the gastronome!

Perfect affordable choice for a casual Cajun dining experience. We were seated with 5 minutes of arriving. The hostess was friendly, and our waiter (I think it was Antuan) was awesome and had the best smile. I started with the Hurricane and I thought it was the best that I had this week. It had a litte bit more pineapple than most, which I liked. It was also pretty! I had the Taste of New Orleans with the Jambalaya, Gumbo and Red Beans and Rice. It was all very tasty but my favorite was definitely the Jambalaya. I was scraping my bowl to get every last bite. My dining partner had the Southern Fried Fish meal. The plate was overflowing with fish,, fries, onion rings and bread. She loved the fish, that the breading was spot on. The onions rings, were nice and crisp. The french fries were fine, nothing special. The decor and atmosphere were fun and festive. Someone was playing drums (or buckets) during our entire meal, which annoyed my dining partner, but honestly I hardly noticed it and when I did, I thought it added to the experience.; There were several people sitting at the bar that looked like they were having a great time, so this is probably a great place to just stop for a drink. This is definitely a great choice for a modestly priced meal on Bourbon Street where you don’t have to make reservations.

My cousin found a long blond hair in her food and requested a manager. The manager refused to come to the table and told the waiter she was busy. He offered to have it remade and it took so long that we were all finished eating by the time he brought it. My cousin asked for a refund and the waiter said no. The manager was in the back telling other workers it was probably my cousin’s hair. We all had black hair which was braided and pulled up. We asked again for her to come to the table and she refused stating that she had nothing to say. So obviously, we found her and addressed her on the long blonde hair in my cousin’s pasta and the fact it it was no way possible it was ours. She lied and said she never said that and no one informed her that we requested a manager. Four of her employees refuted her statement in that moment and she continued to lie. The customer service was worse than anything else. Needless to say, we won’t ever go back!

The food was ok for a place in the middle of Bourbon Street, but i wouldn’t go back there. There was a really bad trash like smell around the restaurant entrance, and some parts of the floor, specifically by the bathrooms, were super slippery. I almost slipped and fell down! Our server was really nice and friendly though.

Stopped here for a drink and a light meal, decided to start with an order of calamari. After that arrived, and it looked unidentifiable, just a bowl of fried breading, never could taste any actual calamari we decided that we would just move on and find our charbroil oysters at another restaurant. We figured if they couldn’t offer decent calamari, then the rest of the meal is not worth taking a chance on.
