At our Montgomery, AL location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

First time at Captain D’s! Hand crafted butter-soaked catfish was delicious! There’s a variety of fried seafood and the customer service was fast and considerate. I dined in and there were lots of seats available around 1pm. Can’t wait to come back to Alabama.

4/22/2023 Finally got some fish. Took three days but I got it. So today there wasn’t a long line and the workers did not take a long time to complete my order. I ordered two meals of 4 piece fish, fries and slaw. I order of 2 piece spice fish, fries and slaw. After I got home, excited and ready to get into this fish that took three days to get, opened the containers and to my disappointment, the order was wrong. I received both of the 4 piece meals but the two piece spicy, I opened the box and almost jumped out of my skin. It scared me to see those clams and shrimp laying on top of the fish. I don’t eat those. The fish was not spicy and it had mac and cheese and slaw. The restaurant is too far away to take it back so now I am calling around trying to find someone who want it. Came close but just can’t win.

The fish is always fresh and if it gets cold, put it in your airfryer to reheat, it be so crispy and not dried out. Lol my 13 yr old did this when I asked her to warm me up a piece

Close my wife and I have enjoyed coming to your restaurant on Sunday evenings after church. However there has now been several times that the dining room has been closed when we get there around 7:15. Anyway there’s no way to know this ahead of time and we don’t like to take fish home to go. I would think if your dining room is going to be open, then it needs to be open.
